Level Up Case Drops

So, i just got lvl 16 in DB, and in my opinion the equipment cases that drop when you rank up are quite disappointing. I would like to see once you are over lvl 15 to have the expert (a,b, or c) cases to drop when you rank up. Not at the end of matches but only when you rank up, because in my opinion once you are over lvl 15 i think you are quite invested in the game. I think i would proved a reason for players to play more often knowing that when they rank up (after lvl 15) they can get a case that will provide at least a bronze card, instead of “oh hey, i just ranked up lets see that lead card”.

i think that it would be a nice little “thanks for playing our game often” from splash damage. also i never want elite cases to drop as that would be to much.

What are your opinions on this?

My opinion?
Well at the end of the day it doesn’t matter, whether you get a normal case or an elite case, since you should have just bought the bronze card that you wanted from the store.

Giving out elite cases as level drops, will only make credits more useless.
So until we have somthing more to spend our credits on, and until levels actually matter, I say leave it as it is.

As i said i dont want elite cases to drop, i want expert cases wich only eliminate the led and iron cards from the case, which gives a slightly higher chance for a gold, silver, and bronze but still have a very small chance for cobalt.

Well its been a long time people here are looking to put some use to those levels we have because right now they dont really serve a particular purpose, but they have more important thing to think about right now and i think features like this are the least of their priorities.

I dont think its a bad idea as long as if they do this they give me the one i didnt got from my already passed levels B) .

Well if they don’t give any out for the previously passed levels then it won’t matter, since the XP gap between levels doesn’t increase each time you level up.

Sure, if it was quicker to level 1-10 than it was for 31-40 then it would be unfair if they didn’t give us high levelled players cases for each level we had, but each level takes the same amount of XP.

(Actually, correct me if I’m wrong here, but I haven’t noticed by levels taking any more time to level up with each passing level - maybe once you reach level 10 or something they stop increasing in XP gap? I have no idea)

expert cases dropping when reaching certain milestones would be a nice addition to the game. This solely depends on SD’s policy and business model though.

At some point in time (a while ago) the devs did mention the possibility of making leveling up more desirable, probably with better rewards and achievements to work towards, but currently there is still no sign of this :frowning:

Competitive mode is at the forefront right now, but once that is out the way, I don’t see any reason why we can’t get some better rewards and stuff for leveling up, because I do agree - it’s kinda crappy right now. 1 case per level? I rarely even notice it, nor do I even care what level I am. :frowning:

TBH now levels have pretty good purpose. Gives the new players something to bash about in game chat instead of actually playing the game. We all know that they can’t or don’t want to learn.

EXPERT cases - not elite cases. Means you’re gonna be getting mostly Bronzes for each one, so it won’t break the rarities that badly.

I like the game and I’m not going to completely stop playing. I don’t really need rewards, though it would be very nice to get some. Most of the people on the forums are like me, but DB needs more players in general, which will also help a lot in balancing games, cause more players = better matchmaking, which, of course, will lead to happier and healthier player base. This will help competitive matchmaking a great deal. And to make a player stay, except decent gunplay, fun mercs, diversity, more maps and solid anti-cheat protection, you need to reward playing with some goodies. There should be reasons for people to play more than a month or so. Something to achieve. It gets boring for most people, cause there isn’t a lot to play for. Not that level rewards will drastically change this, but still.

Ranked season trinkets are not going to work, especially since they are going to stay permanently with you once achieved. Yeah, they’re gonna be a bit different each time, wow! Trinkets in general are lame and I think that’s not the way to go. Not going to comment on ugly special edition cards with 0.3% chance.

In short - yes, we need better rewards for leveling.

Suggestion: receive a case with higher chance for a higher rarity card every level; every 5th level - an expert case with cards for all mercs.
Sounds reasonable, it can be much more if you’re feeling generous.

Or the simpler way - credits. Give us imaginary money when we level up.
Right now if you’re level 50, which is about 600 hours in-game, you basically get 50k credits in the form of cases. That’s nothing.

I know we are talking about expert cases but they still give a decent chance for gold or cobalt if we consider the fact they are supposed to be given for free every level. It’s never going to happen. Splash Damage won’t give away $2 every level to every player. It would become a farm for golds and cobalts.
