Just now I finally got to lvl 7 on dirty bomb and unlocked competitive mode. It also said that I revived a arsenal crate for reaching lvl 7 and will get another one every time I lv, but when i checked my items I had no such crate…

Hey there - Let me break this down for you ^_^.
With the new level up system at lvl 5 you are awarded the crate and are unable to open it until level 7.
If you were already past lvl 5 when the update hit you will still get the message but were not awarded the crate. - Just keep leveling! there are plenty more to come
