I can stick people left right and centre and I have next to no time with him. Some times I don’t even hit people with the sticky, or it looks like I don’t, but it attachs to them any way.

If you ask me they both need a nerf, and bushwhacker needs some TLC. Proxy’s mines should have a smaller blast radius, but they should still be able to kill someone who is directly under them, otherwise they’re pretty useless. They should increase the cool down again by at least a few seconds in my opinion. Fletchers cool down on his mines should be longer too by an extra second or two if you ask me. I think the damage they do for a direct stick is fine especially given their recent blast radius nerf. Bushwhacker just feels in a weird place at the moment, personally I’d like to see him with 120hp or something similar that gives him an edge over Fletcher stats wise.[/quote]

I gotta say she is really trash when all your flanking routes, mine-shooting strategies are predicted.

Such a good merc to make mediocre level users salty, and cajolement.

There are alway 2+ of her in every match on both teams. Even when she’s not in rotation.
I had 6vs6 games with 5 Proxies in 1 team when she was not on rotation. She’s newb-magnet because they get told they need an engineer and those ones who don’t go full-MLG with Vassili buy her because she is the cheapest engineer. 30 an 50K are a big difference.

instead of nerfing proxy, how about buffing anti proxy weapons that are still need buffs so we can shoot proxy more easily. or just make proxy hitbox a little bigger for you cant-shoot-a-proxy guys.

i want my k121(proxy mower) buffed

I’m a proxy main, although I’ve recently taken to playing tanks and pointmen recently(102h on Proxy, 17h on Thunder, 18 on Fragger, 12 on Arty, 7 on Kira, etc.), but all Proxy really needs is a nerf to the mines so they don’t deal damage through corners and walls. This would stop a lot of people from being killed by mines when they’re really behind a wall and alleviate a bunch of the frustration associated with Proxy’s mines.

If included I’d taken “Shotguns are the problem not Proxy” bc if it just were just for me those guns don’t belong here. Et had none, QWs got nerfed to uselessness and Brink neither had Shotguns.
It’s the fast merc+shotgun combo most people have a problem with I think, not hearing many complaints about Rhino or Fletcher using them.
On mines: Anyone remember Et’s invisible silent mines? :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s a fast paced game, but it doesn’t mean that you must run like a headless chicken everywhere.
In all fps, you must prepare yourself in case of an enemy is behind a corner.
If you run when you go through the corner, don’t blame proxy for getting a free kill. If it was a bushy turret, it would kill you anyway. Same with a well placed rhino or anyone who can aim.
The time you switch to your primary and start aiming at someone’s head, you’re dead or partially dead.
I rarely get killed by mines, and I think fletcher is way more OP than proxy at the moment. You must know how to counter her like every other merc. For her, it’s just backpedaling when she’s coming and shooting. For defensive mines, only the bridge’s sample bug make them impossible to destroy.
But in almost all other cases, you can destroy them (sometimes at the price of some Hp) or at least by-pass them quickly.

Maybe we can add some delay when you shoot it so you can cover after shooting it when you want to destroy it. And this will nerf a bit kamikaze proxies.
But it’s not like they are unavoidable. Just think when you play. The game need some intellectual skill sometimes. It’s not all about reflex.

I hardly get killed by mines as well, playing Proxy mainly, I know where they get hidden. I don’t charge out of high-risk areas, I check first, but sometimes you get forced through a doorway by the enemy team when they push or you’re behind a teammate who triggers the mine and you die, even though you’re behind cover. It also makes spots like the barrels near the first turret on Terminal impossible to flank or deal with, because you have no angle to hit them from and they’ll instantly kill you even if you get back around the corner and into cover.

Also, with the double doorway on the first part of bridge, you can trigger the mine and get through the other doorway and around the corner but still die because they buffed the range and reduced detonation time(and it does damage through walls!), in addition to adding the “deployables react faster” perk to more Proxy loadouts. You also take damage if you shoot the mine from the corner on the first stairwell on the right side of the Chapel map without running straight into it, which is always enough to kill low-health or medium-health mercs like Proxy or Arty, and takes 2/3 of the health of Thunder and almost all of Fragger’s.

Again, yes mines can be countered and avoided, but a well-placed mine can be impossible to deal with and blocks certain routes for some mercs. Of course, Phantom’s new EMP helps, but teammates don’t often see the EMP’d mines and try to follow you over them.

by far the weakest engineer, nobody ever uses her in serious games.

She’s not OP, she dies rather easily actually, often by her own actions. At least bad Proxies are usually good distractions for the enemy when on your team… can’t say the same for bad Vasillis or Aimees sitting far in the back.

The main thing that needs to get nerfed in regard of mines is the fact that they are able to detonate if someone standing close to them behind a wall. That leads to the fact that the mines detonate without even marching on them, just being close but behind a wall while the worst thing of this is that it actually kills you through the wall… .

i would only like to see one nerf, if you shoot enemy mine it will disappear, not blow up,
but that nerf should be added with buff to done make her even worse
