We can already trade up our loadout cards. But how about the option to trade down? I currently have a cobalt for my bushwacker, but its a terrible loadout. Id like the option to trade it down for 4 random gold cards, i think it would be fair considering this already works in reverse.
Let players trade down cards?
Trade downs would be ok, but it would have to be way more expensive on purpose, so you don’t get people screwing with the system. Everything Bronze and above is the same, so the payout would have to bad to reduce good loadout spam.
With your system:
1 Cobalt - 4 Gold Cards
4 Golds - 16 Silvers
16 Silvers - 64 Bronzes
Excuse my mental arithmetic, but that is a LOT of cards. The payout should be 2 cards, and it should cost around 1.5k credits, maybe reduce cost on lower ranks.
1 Cobalt - 2 Golds (-1.5k)
2 Golds - 4 Silvers (-1k)
4 Silvers - 8 Bronzes (-500)
In total you get 8 Bronzes, and lose 2,000 credits. Still kinda cheap. Maybe have it a random chance to downgrade to 1-3 cards, and the cost is double as expensive.
Also got my first Silver out of a normal case yesterday
I agree on trade down. If you trade down with a loss, it seems fair. I have a cobalt Vassili and I will never buy him.

I agree with your credit prices per trade down and that it should be a lower cost as the rarity gets lower. 2k to break down a cobalt seems fair. Also, maybe have a very small chance of getting a higher card yield when trading down? Like, 5% chance to get 4 golds from a cobalt? Maybe only for the higher tier cards.
I’m a big fan of trading down, even if it does cost a lot of credits and you loose cards. I have two worthless cobalts I’ll never use.
I understand why it isn’t in the game yet. Trading up carries the risk of getting a bad card you can’t use with no way to change that except for trading up again, which Cobalt can’t do. This makes it harder to get good high tier cards which makes them rarer. If you could trade Up, Down, Up, Down, for as long as you had credits good cards would be less rare.
That said I don’t care that much one way or the other as I don’t care for the rarity myself, Bronze forever.
