The thing is with Dude’sname-Kruger effect is, it applies to outliers. If you’re like REALLY bad (in the example they gave, we’re talking about people who, if there were only 4 people in the room, would be the dumbest person) think they’re average. And on the other hand, the smartest guy in that room, would also think he was average.
The two average guys in the middle correctly think they’re average.
Counter-sniping CG ? Never seen that. More middle to close range CG, as in “I’m to lazy to draw and try to aim with my primary gun to kill you”-CG. And I was forgetting to mention noobtubes, that are used for the same reason.
The point is, I don’t really see the fun in doing that. For me, it’s quite clear there isn’t any, for the one using it, I can’t see it either. I’m really glad SD did there most to provide that kind of comportement.

Then try it. And don’t just do what you perceive as the cheap shots, use the CG for everything. Aim for the lintels of doorways so you can hit inside and outside a house at once, shoot the rear armour of a tank while being at the front, shoot down choppers unguided, never enter a house by the door but make a big hole in the nearest wall instead, get into a house attic, destroy part of the ceiling and become a roofhopping ninja even without the SMART button, topple trees onto tanks.
Its a weapon you can use to kill and to remake the map to your liking. Get creative.
Senethro : you didn’t understand me. I get it that you can do all sorts of things with the CG, that you can do skillfuls things with it even. My problem is that all I’m seeing on servers are : noob oneshoting guys. If I’m using a launcher, I’m using the first one that is more effective on tanks and copter cause I want to help my team, and not kill people without any effort.
Yeah, and you’re wasting your time with the RPG7. The slow projectile speed makes it useless against good players. Good drivers/pilots will dodge your shots on reaction. Use the AT4 instead, or use the CG and do trickshots to hit the rear armour.
There is also no way in hell that the RPG7 is ever more effective against choppers. Any RPG oneshots a chopper and the CGs lesser drop and faster speed makes it obviously better against air.
I agree for the chopper, but I never had a problem for tanks. Especially cause I’m playing with the darts.
If darts are working, that means your opponent isn’t using Smoke spec and is therefore an idiot. You could probably drill them.
The problem is it’s subjective. There’s been many times where I’ve been Best player on a BC2 server for ex, but I’m the first to admit I’m nowhere near the best. Average at best in fact.
How “good” you are changes depending on the sample you’re in at that moment.
