Leaving ranked for pub issue

(Mc1412013) #1

So why cant i leave a ranled match to go play pub

Normaly i dont leave being that its ranked. but when i get stuck on team noob wont vote surrender because were getting our ass handed to us so bad that s.d.can feel it at there houses, id rather go play pubs till the penalty wears off. But why cant i go play pubs after leaving.

Again i dont like leaving ranked but when i get stuck with level 7 players that dont even know fletcher is an engi and gets a kd of 0
2/30 i dont want to waste time

(nokiII) #2

Because it wouldn’t be a punishment otherwise.

(Mc1412013) #3

True but being forced to stay in an !$f stomping with unranked level 7 noobs is punishment too expecialy when its 5 v3 an your on the 5 player side and the 3 player side still kicks your @#f because your only one stay alive the longest and only one making it to the obj

(hawkeyeguy99) #4

Isn’t there a point at which you can leave a ranked match without that penalty? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that message pop up before. I don’t know the perameters of it happening but I’m 99% sure that its an option at some points.

(Mc1412013) #5

Yeah there is but for some reason it never poped possibly cuz the other team finished fast

(Szakalot) #6

problems

(Your worst knifemare.) #7

It becomes an option once another player has left the game for whatever reason and fails to join back.

Yeah but some times it takes a while and when they leave at half time your still forced to stay till it decides to release the players

if you cant commit, dont you dare press the ranked match

(Mc1412013) #11

No i can commit, but theres a point when the match is so bad that u do t want to waist more time on it. out of 230 games ive only intentionaly left 1 match because the noob factor was if i was on a whole team of level 1 players who didnt even know what class they were playing nor what there perks were.

looks like you’ve been noobified. Just remember their names and don’t play ranked with them on the same team ever again. 1 loss isn’t that much of a pain, and never go in alone. Always pair up with a player you know. Spread the word about player rep as well.

I’ve been in similar ranked games and found the following strategies to still make it somewhat worthwhile:

  • Always bring along a merc you are inexperienced with. In case the game is hopeless, switch to this merc and practice them a bit.
  • Practice skill jumps.
  • Practice knife only fighting.
  • See how far you can get by bunny hoping only. Use Sparks and her self-healing medkits to maximize the fun.

1 hpw can u even avoid matches if you ant see whos in que and once ypur in, isnt there a penalty for leaving

  1. I know i. Wrong but i think sd has a way to keep players down ranked. Last match of the night i lost it was gold and silver vs me and bronz/unranked there team o ly had o e unranked and mostly silver.

  2. I always rome alone other than one person i friended from the foums for a while(not his fault i unfriended) i never except random players i never met in person, though o one i know even plays pc games. And last time i played with my kid who is slightly better than me he ended up bailing out of ranked cuz my wife kicked him off his pc.

I will keep that in mind 70% mercs i have i dont use and i have them all i realy need to get used to using them

@teflonlove If you’re looking for a bunny-hopping self-healing merc, go for El Espanol Jesus. The guy is a bit slower, but has some really ridiculously strong self sustainability.

Also I can’t understand what you guys are talking about because no Asian wants to play Ranked, even on weekends and peak hours.

they are bored and many of them already on hiatus post level 30

now asia is flooded with level 5s

@GatoCommodore I’m still level 9, and vividly remember the first few weeks I played DB. Throwing Skyham’s airstrikes on to the EV incorrectly, overlapping Aura stations, and rushing the objective with zero spatial awareness. It feels soothing and painful at rhe same time seeing these noobs play like how I did. At least they’ll have someone to help them.

(frostyvampire) #18

Why would you bother leaving?
I never surrender no matter how bad the match is, stay until the end. Get the useless credits and xp and the 10 competitive points if you lose.

But never lose hope, never surrender. By leaving, you are making the match a guarantee loss to your team, just stay and your team might surprise you.
Not once I had a comeback where enemy completed all objectives within’ under 10 mins and we managed to comeback. And not once I had a game where my team didn’t plant the bomb once and the match ended in a draw

No wonder i end up with retarded teammates who only do those things above after getting wiped once and giving up

I cant help it but get triggered by these topics, after i’ve met some of the active forum members in ranked games and they played like level 7s

While I’ve seen a couple of games with people doing that, it never was after a single wipe. It usually took at least 4 spawn cycles before players gave up. YMMV of course.

Personally I resort to these strategies only in the really hopeless games when you get paired with the 3/27 kdr Vassili, the Katana only Phantom, the non ammo dropping Skyhammer and the Aura that revives you without defibs. They also seem to have keyboards without PgUp as they never support a vote for surrender.
