I google’d it and 1 page came up in a language I do not understand.
Anyone have a clue to this one ?
entity reached from outside – no filling
— LeakFile —
2 point linefile

I have stopped the leak error by placing a long slender box concealing the red line.
I hope to solve it better than that.
I found a few more pages on goggle, all idears were that there is an entity/ies way off the map.
When you added the brush did you still get a leak error in the log. (you should get one if an entity is in a structual brush).
Im thinking you’v got the origins of the entity, but the entity is somewhere else. could be broke brushwork, in which case finding it will be fun.
it was appearing in the middle of nowhere…I was never out in this area before and once I boxed it off, it cleared all errors and leaks.
I do not have any origins for the item/entity either. This is wild…just one of those radiant things, huh ? cr-azy.
well it is a 8,000 unit leak line…which sux. I have tried shortening the container but it needs to be that long.
The line also raises 64 units on the ‘Z-axis’ from point A to point B, not that it matters…it just baffles me. :weird:
I have found other pages too but they all lead me back to WTH ?
-thanks for the thoughts though.
Try to delete everything inside the box, sometimes an entity turn invisible, dunno why.
You could try finding the exact origins of both ends of the pointfile and do a search in your .map for those values, in case your have some random Invisible Shit™ in you map.
Sounds like a good time !
…Thanks Wils
p.s. thanks for deleting my thread from general discussion…preciate it.
Yeah, I wasn’t sure if this thread was gonna grab your attention…
----OK, I found the problem; I imported some brushwork and it ended up being a script_mover’s origin within it’s own entity value, not from an origin brush coupled to the entity.
Deleted, replaced and the day was saved ! That was a pain in my butt…
[*The original map maker had 150 models that were placed into the terrain, so I turned “leak/compilation stop” OFF. Otherwise, this would have been an easier find.]
Thanks again.
Just anote about this. I have had this error a few times and its always been due to copy and pasteing or importing of a door entity and brush work into a map, then deleting the door but leaving the func_door_rotating entity info still in the map. looking down my entity list and finding one not connected to a brush. Remove this to solve error.
