Launching Bug

So sometimes when i’m playing in the middle of a match in dirty bomb immediately press alt+f4 in a panic. the game just freezes and then it closes. now i have done this a couple of times and i want to know if this affects how dirty bomb launches? Because now dirty bomb doesnt launch i have done countless methods posted on the forum and none of them have seem to work. So what happens is when i click on dirty bomb the screen where it shows ‘preparing to laucnh dirty bomb’ appears for a split second and then disappears and the game doesnt launch. I was hoping one of the devs could help me out but im open to suggestions from anyone.

ALT+F4 should not effect how dirty bomb launches. - I would verify your game files via steam and/or try to reinstall. If these options do not help please contact customer support for more help.

Thank you but how do i verify the game files via steam? Possibly a short walk through please? Thank you

You can skip most of it most of the time - here’s the important bit.

  • Load Steam
  • From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
  • Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache… button.
  • Steam will verify the game’s files - this process may take several minutes.
  • Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
