I have tested the headshot damage zones and there seems to be some problems.
Hitting from same distance with for example Deagle can generate a death from 2 hits to 4 (and 7 hits in a few extreme cases)
The enemy was a player with an antenna party infront of his face.
I tested hitting top of head, lower part of head - the mouth, and directly through antenna, with inconsistent results.
The 7 hits to kill, extreme case was when shooting directly in front.
The 4 hits to kill took place in various places.
All hits were carefully aimed at the specific place on the head, and I took notice if it generated an head-hitsound to qualify as a registered headshot…
I tested this on a server with 2 players, where I killed an AFK player in not ready mode.
Do you developers on this game, or other people have insight or knowledge what is going on?
Also if the hitzones and damage zones + distance could be explained I would appreciate it.

this is a known bug, it started a long ago when sounds were faster than actual rate of fire of certain weapons. i think this probably it. OR mb netcode drawback. as far as i remember devs said they are working on it. so nothing to actually realy worry about at this moments.
this does not help to know how much dmg you realy deal, ofc. often get killed, because i rush to finnish a guy who appears to be pretty healthy =))))

The fire audio not matching the actual fire rate of the weapon is a seperate issue, this one sounds like some hits aren’t dealing damage (Which is way worse!)
