Lag (seems unique to me)

I have played maybe 2 games without lag that ruins my experience.

I do have wireless, but it’s never been an issue with any other game so I doubt that is the cause.
I ALWAYS pick the servers with low pings, and sometimes ones that are close to where I live.

Yet, I always seem to be in the red.

I realize this is a universal issue right now, but I seem to get it worse than anyone else that I know that owns the game.

Any recommendations?
I’m currently reinstalling Steam because it had some glitches and I thought that may be part of the issue. I’ve tried all the basics (making sure no programs are running that are using internet, resetting my router, etc.)

As you mentioned, a lot of players are having the same issues so there may not be much you can do on your end. I suggest heading over to DSL Reports and running a speed test so you can rule out whether or not it’s your connection. If your speeds are within the range specified by your ISP, you’re probably fine - especially if you haven’t noticed problems with any other games.

SD has stated they are aware of lag issues plaguing a number of players, so look for your problems to be fixed in the upcoming patch(es).

Casanova, I have the exact same issue, I haven’t play a single mission in 8 days…This is so frustrating. SD stole my money and I’m feeling bad because of this.

Anyway, this issue is worse because while making you lagging in the game, it makes me lag in mumble, teamspeak and all that kind of programs, which doesn’t happen with tf2.
