I never had audio distortion but I get pretty regularly looping sounds. Especially when I respawn while a medic is defibrilating someone, then I get a horrible defib noise loop…

My screen is stuck in the loading screen. i can exit out, but I it won’t load it just keeps on showing the loading screen. I went away after it was taking awhile, I came back an hour later and it was still LOADING. I tried to reinstall and allowed it through the firewall and the windows. PLZ Help. I really want to play.

@MissMurder I hate to harp on about this, but seriously… I can’t play at all since OB due to warping.

Try customer support if it still doesn’t work, but during open beta launch it was just and issue of the sign in server being requested over its capacity. So try again to join a game and if it then doesn’t work, then try customer support.

Number one: what’s your ping on those servers? Because even with very high ping I haven’t experienced this but could be related to your connection.

Number two: what’s your framerate? Could be due to your recording lowing down the entire game process and then having to skip frames to keep up with the server. Try plaing without recording to see if it helps. If it is indeed due to fraps, then try playclaw instead! It’s the only one I’ve found to be smooth enough as it manages to use a multithreading process which with an i7 and its 8 cores makes the recording unnoticable.

My ping is the same as always, fluctuating between 65 and 90ms, and the only reason I had fraps was to record this short clip of the warping. I’ve already uninstalled it. I also conducted a speed test through my isp which maxed out the potential max line rate for my location. I don’t know what else to do.

Does this happen across multiple servers, or do you usually go to only one? Try using the server browser and find the lowest possible ping server.

Finally, keep an eye on your FPS, you can set steam overlay options to show it to you in any of the corners. Can be that your system specs are low and you have frame rate loss.

Check that out and post your system specs too so I have something to work with.

I have not experienced this issue at all until OB. My specs are poor (i5 mobile and GT550M) and even before I started using a proper potato cfg I didn’t see any warpring. Variable frame rate and distorted sound, yes. Crazy warping, no.

I’m getting 0% packet loss from New Zealand to Brisbane. I’m sure it’s the AUS servers having a fit at the dramatic increase in player numbers.

edit about FPS, it’s capped at 60 which it also manages to maintain about 60% of the time depending on what’s going on.

Well, I don’t know about Australian servers, maybe you should try playing during the daytime, or during the week. Try avoiding peak times to see if it helps.

Also, I’m not aware of the internet cabling situation in Oceania but you should try to find some info about it. Because geographical proximity doesn’t always imply lowest ping. Depending on who marine cables have been set up the best server for you can vary.

Finally, if it has started since open beta, give it a rest because as alot of the newcomers start leaving the game and the playing population stabilizes, you’ll experience better situations.

Everyone has huge issues day one, less day two and they have stabilized since then. So I don’t know when was the last time you played but maybe now you wouldn’t experience it anymore.

FPS stuttering is still a really prominent issue. Play more than 5 minutes of a game and everything starts feeling choppy, makes it unplayable. When will we see a fix as this has been going on for a while?

Hi, not sure if this is the place to post this but sometimes I get to the pre-game lobby and it freezes. Also how to I set my server filters? It seems to be stuck on stopwatch.

um Hello so that bug with the Game crashing in the loading screen is still up for me i have tried to re-install the game a couple of times, as well as doing what the post says to do (delete this config file:
[My Documents]\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Config\ShooterEngine.ini) and the game still wont work. (i am currently trying to run the game on a PC that meets the requirements). The game is being launched from steam. If there is any other way to fix this please do tell me and all the other players that are experiencing the same problems

I keep getting 60+ / 80’s ping when server browser points to 40 and also connection to server lost very very frequently =|… This started after the first 2 very smooth days of steam release

When i launch the game it loads up until it gives me a error message saying “sign in could not be completed”. Then it gives me a link to this forum and i didn’t see this in others posts. after the link it gives me a "EXIT’ button. I have verified the files on steam already. Also i have not been able to play yet, today i installed the game and tried to play but nope error message after 5-8 minutes of loading. It does not crash just errors me after getting past the loader then forces me to exit. Any help on this subject? (same error message and page layout as mine, but not my picture).

I got this game several days ago hoping i would be able to play it. But sadly i cant login and i never got the chance to play ;( Is anyone else having this problem? I was able to get in today but I didn’t change anything. Can someone please help???
