I’m talking specifically about the slide tackles you can do by sliding into an enemy. 8 times out of 10 I die when I do these because the enemy can shoot while he’s down and is facing you. So the enemy actually has better reaction advantage because he’s already 90% there, while you have to turn around and aim. (I have only played against bots btw but its still cheap)
Knockdowns are underpowered
slide close to the enemy and you will go passed them so they will find it hard to shoot you, slide from too far away and you will die. That and nades should definitely not be buffed, as it promotes bad gameplay. A great example of something like this is the grenades/noobtubes in COD and the commando crap.
There’s your problem, bots can’t experience the shock that a surprise knockdown causes, or the disorientation any knockdown causes.
You can get up and run away too quickly from a grenade knockdown anyway.
This game needs a lot more balance tweaking.
grenades being “underpowered” == GOOD! Less spam is good. Don’t promote spam, spam is bad for health, it’s dirty, keep yourself clean
I’ve slid tackled multiple bot enemies, and I found it most successful when you do it within 0-2 meters. Reason being, they get launched the closer you are, when I did it a medium distance away I usually end up just tripping them, and I slide past them.
However, I have encountered this problem, especially with bots and it annoys the crap out of me.
I completely disagree. Every time I get tackled over the person who tackles me outshoots me easily.
It’s happened to me but it’s usually my own fault running in a straight line towards them, give them a harder angle to shoot at. If you’re talking about bots, well they’re not going to miss you at that range wherever you are
I have yet to actually manage to melee a knocked down enemy, they either get up too fast after being thrown; or are shooting at you, so its suicide to try.
Knockdowns do definitely make an enemy easier to gun down though.
