I have killed myself 3 times since last evening due to inconsistent behaviour of Kira’s laserpointer. When I initially call in my orbital laser of death, I press and hold Q. If I release Q it stops the targeting. When the laser has been called in and I release Q, I switch back to my primary. Now of course I have to adjust the path of the laser occasionally so I press and hold Q until the new target is acquired and I release Q.
Here is the problem now. Sometimes when releasing Q it keeps the laserpointer selected, which means that in the best case I’m screwing up my laser and in the worst case I’m aiming at my position. That’s how I killed myself 3 times now.
In my opinion after releasing Q, the laserpointer should never keep being selected, but rather it should switch back to my primary (or whatever I have been using before). If I want to keep the laserpointer selected, I should either have to keep holding Q or just press 4 to switch to the weapon bank.
If it happens more often and I notice a pattern, I will update this post.
