Kira's ability in buildings

I couldn’t check that yesterday, how is Kira’s ability behaving indoors? Like in the “Underground”-level? Or at the and of Terminal?

Is it invalid?

You can start it in locations where there is a hole in the roof and then move it around normally. Jumping over a roof will not cancel the ability, it will just stop at the roof level until there is a hole again.

Sounds a bit finnicky, doesn’t it…

I’m already miffed how placing the turret can be pain when push comes to shove… :wink:

Well, none of the airstrikes/artillery works when there is a roof over the location.

I had the chance to playtest Kira a little bit during the weekend. I find her ability indeed more difficult to use than the singular placement abilities from the other mercs. For Hammerstrike and Arty, you have to find a spot and then its fire and forget.

For Kira, you don’t hit anybody with your initial targeting (nobody is stupid enough to stand around when the red lasers are closing in). It’s all about moving the beam once it’s initialized. And that is a pain in most levels.

Well, I suppose that what the learning process is for :wink:

it seems to be good at objectives tho? i mean like when ppl are defusing the c4 and stuff? and it keeps ppl away while its in use

It seems like Kira is only able to call down the orbital laser strike if the glass is shattered, but you can use Skyhammers airstrike to shatter glass. Might be wrong though.

Would be nice if it was easier to spot where you can actually call down orbital strikes like having a small tint to the ground in some colour while holding the targeting laser.

There are some c4’s where this is a cool tactic like trainyard 1rst and 3rd objective or the last in bridge. But the majority of those spots are actually under some sort of roof, including for example PCO building in chapel.

Both should shatter the glass for the same reason.
