Restore settings to default.
Validate files on steam.
Reinstall.
Have you tried switching it off and on again?

For me, Kira’s laser has always been wonky. It is unpredictable. At times when you activate it, you get crazy black and weird colored blocks completely blocking your vision, sometimes it works and other times it randomly disappears and it can even disappear but have trails. This is an advantage for me since it is an invisible laser that still does damage and it is very hard for enemies to see since they cannot see it lol.

True, my laser also sometimes goes invisible. I forgot about that.
