This has been happening quite a bit actually. Basically the laser only does like 1/3 of its normal damage.
I’ve had this happen at least 5 times since the second summer squash. I’m not 100% sure how to replicate it but I think it has something to do with the turret, because every time this has happened to me I have had the laser bang smack in the middle of the EV. Every time I place the laser to the side or barely touching it, it does full damage.
It doesn’t come from the bug of the invincible turret ?
It may come from the hitbox of the EV probably.
Maybe, not sure. I know for a fact though that the second my laser landed on the EV it stayed on it for the entire duration it was up. That’s usually enough to damage like 75% of the EV haha. I think I’m lucky if I did even 20% here.
Yes i had the same when playing Kira… the EV damage was way less than it should be:/
So I had this happen again last night in a pub match, and what I noticed this time was that my laser despite being in the middle of the EV for its entire duration, it actually did no damage to the EV and I received no medals or damage notifications in yellow like you usually would.
It was bang smack on the turret in the middle the whole time. Same as last time. Starting to think there might be a weird invincible spot on the turret that is hard to find, but it’s definitely there.
I was under the impression the entire turret section was “invincible.” There is a raised part of the turret in the back that covers the MG user’s back, and I’ve found when trying to hit just the top of the person’s head that shows there is no red hit marker when any of the bullets hit the EV/swiveling turret section. Can also verify this later in game, I could be way wrong.
That spot isn’t invincible, it’s just invisible. They confirmed that was a bug a long time ago, I even remember when shoe was guest casting one of those dbn comps he kind of sighed about it when someone missed a kill because of it haha.
I mean shooting at the actual rotating part of the turret, not the player. Sorry, not sure if I was clear.
