So one thing about the Orbital Strike that’s really annoying, is that it’s hard to see the initial strike coming. So I was thinking a good change would be three things.

  • An orbital strike now makes a clear audio and visual cue in the sky that let’s people know when the strike is about begin.
  • Orbital Strikes now take 75% less time to mark their position
  • Orbital Strike Laser moves at it’s original speed before the nerf

There is a clear visual cue: the converging lines. Audio is something else that could be added, but Arty’s strike doesn’t have audio (as far as I’m concerned) and it’s fine on the call.

…or SD could just fix the fact that the tiniest obstruction forces you to recast the laser. That’d save more time than adjusting the actual call time.

Besides, if the cast time were to be reduced, then you’d have panic lasers in close quarters. Unlike Arty’s strike though, the laser comes instantly, and being killed instantly at point blank would be infinitely more annoying than lasers coming up from behind you.
