Kira & arty

So i know theres probadly a lot of people saying Kira and arty are very underpowered; but i dont think they are underpowered they are just VERY hard to play - either you suck or you own. I would LOVE to see them changed (in some way) so they are better for people who dont play harcore - and maybe a little unbuffed (?) for really good people in some way

The main issue with arty is his airstrike mechanic. First off it’s very fiddly (making it super frustrating to use) and secondly it’s situational (can’t be used indoors).

IMO Kira is in a pretty good spot at the moment. Her laser can be devastating and the burst weapons suit her really well.

I use her 60% of the time and I think she is very well balanced at the moment. The loadout card that suits you will always help you improve.

Arty is a great suppression merc. He’s just so much worse if your team isn’t set up or taken any ground yet. But once you do set up (or you’re on defence since they start the round set up) or your team has taken ground, you can take a good vantage point and start raining down hell on people. I’ve had many of those “lightning” rounds where I get artillery shells raining everywhere and getting kills left and right.

The artillery spotter simply doesn’t allow you to use it under fire or when assaulting a position. The flinch is really sucky too. I think if they sort of reworked the way his laser kind of worked then it would be good. The laser is just a diva that calls in an artillery barrage when it wants to and not when you point it.

His weapons are fine. If you’re a crack shot you should be able to wreck everyone, it’s nice having a 120 hp person with fire support and burst/semi weapons.

I can see why people think Kira is underpowered.
It’s rather hard to learn a merc having high speed combined with burst rifles and an ability you need to be accurate with. Oh, and it needs an open sky as well.
A pretty weird but effective combination.

Her speed allows her to flank and pick off a couple of people fast and clean.
Once it gets too dangerous she escapes just as fast.

That’s why I love her.
Because that’s exactly what she excels at.

This is my main issue with Artys ability, it’s too awkward to use alot if the time.

It depends on how/when you use it. If you are assaulting a position held by defenders that’s when it’s quite bad. Even if it had no flinch and you could call in artillery under fire I think it’ll barely make a difference. It’s very easy to see the laser and arty standing still and pulling it up to target.

I think they still need to perhaps get rid of the flinch. Perhaps the targetting laser can be a bit more strict? I don’t know, just a little more firm. I don’t have much problem with arty to be honest.
