Kind request to SD

(neg0ne) #1

Dear SD, ( hope you come to read this )

You probably recognised People complaining about the DLC not comming on the 3rd but the 4th.

ok … I know
DLC will be out on the 3rd.
In West_coast USA.

ok … on a planet thats bacically round, theres no need to complain about that.

But, SD, i´d like to take this example for a kind request to You:

  • It would have been nice ( and from my professional understanding recommended ) - considering this planet as basically round - to talk about where at what time things will happen … as soon as you know about that.

  • And if its unknown or in other hand to say so - tell it to the customers so they can arrange with that fact and dont get mislead expectations or - even worse - speculations.

I dont wanna tell you ,SD, how to make your job, and i´m far from complaining, i love the game - can see the good job you´ve done and enjoy it - for shure you got plenty of other things to do …

…but
(from a professional point of view )

you gotta work on your communication.

lots of trouble could have been avoided by just communicate.

best regards

neg0ne

PS: no worry, my evening was not wasted at least i had the time and the leisure to read a book.

The DLC is already out.And I have no idea what you said.

For CONSOLES its out. Not for PC. Even though the PC version was done weeks ahead of time and was being held up because the console versions kept failing certification.

11pm and I am going to bed.

The irony for PC is just awesome. Getting it delay because of the console and then getting it later then all of them.

EDIT: ah too late myself now. cant get any better, really

I recommend keeping an eye on www.twitter.com/splashdamage on days like this. We relay information there as soon as we get it ourselves.

(zenstar) #6

This is how steam releases always work. Almost no exception.
They are either released in the evening of the release day or that night. Normally in the evening, but nighttime is not unheard of (for GMT timezone).
If you’re new to steam this may be a surprise, but keep it in mind as this is normal for steam.

That’s no good badman, people in Europe that have waited a majority of the evening for DLC that was meant to be released on the “3rd August”.
When you released that date you never told us that the DLC would be released on west coast time.
Yet another miscommunication by splash damage and Bethesda, and you wonder why no one plays brink at all?

What’s that got to do with people playing Brink?

It’ll be still there tomorrow, don’t worry

@ Badman:
ok thanks, i missed thatone as i´m not on twitter. but keep an eye on that.

(DLC out early June!?) #10

I guess twitter wasn’t working the entire month of July?

(Baiken6609) #11

You guys need to take it easy. It’s free dlc it’s not like a map pack for call of duty. So you will get it tomorrow, no big deal, it’ll still be free 1 week and 6 days

(warriorjoy) #12

Dear BadMan;
That is a pretty silly response;

  1. Some people do not have access to Twitter
  2. Some people do not want to go on to Twitter
  3. What is so hard with telling the Global Community on their own web page when it is going to be accessible

I live in Asia and the day the DLC was releasing was the day I was going on holiday so I wasted 3-4 hours trying to download the DLC because SD were unable to tell people that downloads will not be at the same time/on the same day across the globe.

OMG I just wrote that in 3 seconds, BUT obviously SD preferred to waste my time!!!

Also since when is a DLC so difficult to download on a console!!! It should be automatic.
That is why I use a console now instead of a PC

I have to say that SD and because of that Bethesda are losing my respect in their competence.

YOURS UNHAPPY

(CleaverDancer) #13

You may not know this but SD have no control over the EXACT time when Sony/Microsoft/Steam decide to put files live… that is controlled by you guessed it Sony Microsoft and Steam

(warriorjoy) #14

Dear All;
That may be so, BUT
Lets be honest they have a website, a community section etc…, so why is it they need to put the information on twitter??
Surely the information should have been disseminated in the following order:-

  1. Brink the Game web-site
  2. SD Community Section
  3. Bethesda Community Section
  4. Twitter

Also SD could have said something like:-
Brink’s New amazing DLC pack will be begin to be available on the 3rd of August, West Coast America Time. Other areas, Europe, Asia etc… will have a delay of 1-2 days before it is fully available.

TAA-DAA!!! I find it quite upsetting when people waste my time.

BTW - I may be a bit bitter as I am still having problems getting the DLC, it will download and install BUT then it is not there to play!!

(.Chris.) #15

Wasn’t it posted on the main page afterwards?

(Nexolate) #16

Yes:
http://www.splashdamage.com/content/brinks-agent-change-dlc-now-available

Regards,
Nexo

(warriorjoy) #17

Yes, it was posted that it was available BUT it was not, and when it finally was it was only available in the USA.
That’s the point
If they had taken the time to distribute the information correctly this would not be an issue.

Anyways, it is all irrelevant, as I still am unable to play any of the DLC
BTW I AM ON THE PS3
