Kill and finish beep on and off toggle?

I feel like a toggle for the finish/kill beeps is necessary.
I mean I can tell when I get a kill so the beeps are a bit pointless.
Personally I don’t really like it and wish it could be turned off.

You can turn it off. Check your settings while you are in game.

This is normally off by default… assuming it may have been reverted in the recent update then. Just go into your game settings and look for “hit beep” setting. Should be in there somewhere c:

Edit: To clarify, I’m talking about the “gameplay” settings. I don’t think it’s under “audio”.

Read carefully, he’s talking about the newly added kill sound feature, not hit.

Why is it wrong to have kill sound… sometimes when i play nader and throw nade somewhere it just says finish +“x” xp, and it doesnt show me if i killed or not, actually that happened right now too… but this time I knew i killed someone, not just finished… same can happen if you do too much kills with frag or any other abillity… I think kill beep is in fact helpful.
Most important: I love when I hear those in game now :stuck_out_tongue:

Personally I’m going to like it since it’s yet another thing that’s like Quake. Also sometimes the kill text gets lost in other messages that spam the log. Don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to turn it off though.

I haven’t heard the kill sound yet but unless it’s this I will most likely be OK with it.

Kind of have to say thanks for toggling on the hit sounds by default. It helped me to improve my aim a bit more. After all, while I couldn’t see where my bullets hit, now I hear. :smiley:

I find that the hitsound doesn’t necessarily go well together with the newly implemented death and finish sound. They should’ve at least added the option to disable it, just like they did with the normal hitsound. It’s a 50/50 situation here with this new feature, some people like it, some people don’t. I don’t feel like it requires removal, just a simple disable button.
