kicking animation

Hi everybody,

I was reading a bit in the code and I found this in bg_misc.c

// new (10/18/00)
char *animStrings[] = {

“LEGS_BOOT”, // kicking animation

Does this mean there is a kicking animation allready hidden somewhere in ET.
I know you could kick in the RTCW single player game.

The reason why I’m asking this is because I want to make a kick animation in Wolf:ET but I’m not a good animator ^^
So Maybe I can save myself some trouble.

Anybody knows something about this?

Uhhh, I don’t really get it.
You can kick with ETpub, I get that, but does the 3rd person animation make the right movements?

I was thinking to replace the knife with a kick, but needed the 3rd person animation frames

No, there isn’t an animation for kicking in W:ET.
You can “kick” canister’s in ET-Pub by using “use”.
I think it’s more like shoving then.

I’ve just use the fireweapon-knife event for testing.

ok, well I just found a kicking animation mds in the rtcw sp files.
I think it’s time to try and read the archive from ikanatto and see if I can get it in ET

Would it be possible to let the axis keep the knife and give the allies a kick instaid of the knife animation??
Or would that be loads of coding etc??

No, there isn’t an animation for kicking in W:ET.

because of the mdx animation format it is very easy to add extra animations to the game so its not realy hard to make one for WET. the trouble is then you have to program something that uses them

very impressive
But still don’t know how you did it.
I have some importers/exporters for gmax and 3dmax, but some don’t work on some versions.
So I have an importer for 1 version of 3dmax and an exporter for the other version etc.
It’s driving me nuts.

probably could use the file in falcon ET, (normally I wouldn’t really care who made it)
But since you’re always a big help i’ll ask you nicely if I could use it (if I ever figure out how)
Here goes:

Could I plz use the animations from the rtcw.aninc files in falcon ET? ^^
