kicked due to violation of security

Alright, after I took a really long break from Dirty Bomb, I decided to get back into it a bit more in the last days.

As of today, I’ve run already two times into the issue of getting kicked halfway through the match, with a notification that it was “due to a violation of security” or something along those lines. After that, the game closes automatically and I have to restart it.
Now what could possibly cause this? Because to my knowledge, I’m not really running anything besides the main game that could interfere with it - in fact, I’m basically running no other program at all besides DB. Anyone else got a similar incident?
In both cases it was in stopwatch btw, maybe that helps, although I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it.

ps: I’ll attach a screenshot of the notification as soon as it happens again

When NGS (Nexon Game Security) was implemented, it had a few issues.
At that point of time it was crashing a lot.
As a result it wasn’t able to scan for cheats and thus it would display that error message.

I believe it’s pretty good now but it still happens here and there.

I’ve heard that overlays such as mumble can potentionally cause problems but that’s not the case every time. A mouse program could be causing it as well.

See how it goes for now and let us know. :slight_smile:

yeah I know that there’s some interference between those, but weirdly enough, I’m not using either of those - neither mumble or a mouse overlay.
That’s why I’m kinda at a loss here, cause I’ve got no idea what could be the cause of this.
I also didn’t have any problems months back, even with the newly established NGS.

i’ve got the same problem here

from what i could find out about it i can tell you that this garbage of anti cheat system is still crashing quite often

Ever since the last patch I am getting this within 5 minutes of being in a game every single time. Never seen this message before and I was playing for hours every day before the patch.

Searched and tried solutions for this on every single thread written on this issue and nothing works. The game is completely broken for me right now, I suddenly can’t play at all.

I am running nothing but skype, steam, chrome, teamspeak and the game. No Anti-virus enabled. I’ve reinstalled the game completely and a bunch of other “fixes” that didn’t work. I have no overlays enabled either.

I am experiencing this too and it is extremely frustrating, ever since the last update.

sounds about the same for me, NGS stops running, i get one more minute of game play then the game shuts down due to game security violation

I have been speaking to the nexon support for a couple of days about this. Tried reinstalling, tried deleting the ShooterGame folder. Sent them my task manager and my steamprofile. So far nothing has helped. Strange thing is that this problem just started now, I have played for at least 250hrs with no issues. And nothing has changed on my computer, no new programs or anything.
