I bought a new laptop and W,S,A,D are doing something odd. I couldn’t move in game when i looked at key bindings it was normal so i highlighted forward and hit my W key just to check it and it typed 1 instead of W. i repeated it and it typed a 5 instead of W. If i repeat this over and over again it keeps putting in numbers instead of the letters (any letter on the keyboard). :eek:

You’re trying to play Brink on a laptop? I think that may be your problem. What are the specs (CPU, RAM, video card, sound card, OS)?

Hi there, when you use the command post a lot of times you cant move forward for a few seconds thats a game bug, and happens often, about not moving at all that happened to me too sometimes but not often and im on a normal desktop pc, so the question is that if you can´t move at any times or just happens sometimes if its sometimes its a game bug.

I have the cheapest, most basic, generic PC keyboard and I haven’t experienced this problem.

do you have an external keyboard you can try ?
there may be a hotkey that changes your laptop keyboard layout, I know my keyboard sometimes changes to something similar when I accidentally hit a Fn key
