K-121 v.s. M4A1

What’s your opinion on these weapons? I both like them but I’m planning to buy a 17,500 credit card of them, but I don’t know which. And don’t begin with ‘it depends on your playstyle’.

M4A1: 125 DPS, 490 damage per clip
K-121: 134 DPS, 935 damage per clip

K-121 is more powerful, but it needs to be fired in controlled bursts. M4A1 is weaker, but easier to use and fire in full auto.

M4 is much easier to use and it’s a delight to play with it everytime.
While the K-121 can seem more difficult especially in CQC with a strafing Aura in front of you, once mastered the K-121 is just too good to pass :slight_smile:

K-121 is much better in terms of damage and the fact that it has enough ammo per mag to easily wipe a team. M4 got a predictable spray pattern though and is much easier to use.

But I’m assuming that you’re planning to buy a loadout card for Fragger, and one of the M4 cards has simply superior augments to any of his other loadouts (Unshakeable, Explodywhatever, and something else) so I would personally suggest going for that one. K 121 has a certain degree in satisfaction when I kill someone with it. It’s just so damn strong, wish every gun had the M4’s recoil though. Really do not get that at all.

Anyways, the M4 is just too boring. K-121 feels, looks, sounds, and just generally is cooler.

K-121 is a powerful gun and it has an intimidation factor to it. When you see someone lugging that thing around you become hesitant to charge them. Unless you’re an insane idiot like me who’ll charge a Rhino with not but a Empire-9…as Sparks (surprisingly a winnable fight, so long as you jump them and get 1 second of headshots before they can react).

Headshots > Bodyshot DPS

Incidentally if you ADS with the K-121 it’s possible to get consecutive headshots.

I actually like the loadouts with BR-16. Two of them come with Double Time.

The M4 is just easier to use overall for most players. It’s a great gun no matter which way you look at it and I personally love it on Skyhammer (and will be happily using it on Stoker unless the Timik is changed for the better). The K121, however, is simply better once you’ve learned the game and the guns. Learning to control the K121 is easily one of my favorite things in this game as it’s difficult but not impossible and easily one of the more satisfying guns to clear a room with. And contrary to the commonly held belief by people who don’t have personal experience with it, you don’t burst fire with it unless you’re firing at extremely long range. You also ADS a lot more with it than most weapons (for accurate finishes, quick kills and sometimes when you can afford to tank damage against a lighter merc).

The M4 got popular with Fragger due to it getting a couple of minor nerfs and people realizing that Unshakeable keeps you alive in a game that used to have constant frag grenade gibbing (and 10% explosive radius also didn’t hurt). Now the gibbing has been severely reduced and the K121 getting some paper buffs and ammo count buff back to where it was competitive players and even pubbers are starting to migrate back to the K121.

If this question was asked a couple of months ago it would have easily been a very high % of people going with the M4.

I personally love the K-121 because the thing feeling like a monster. Its so satisfying to destroy someone instantly with a couple headshots.

I sometimes go with suboptimal choices just because the weapon feels better. I may not be terribly good with Grandeur or K-121, but they sound so nice! Timik, Crotzni, Caulden, Cricket Bat… the list goes on.

Few things are as satisfying as getting consistent headshots with the k-121. It just melts people.

As a Sparx main, I can’t tell you how true that statement is. You can side jump faster than a Rhino can turn.

I’ve not yet mastered the K-121. Its quite the strange beast. Maybe one day I’ll change my mind, but my silver M-4 is just too awesome to not use.

Also unshakable and explody perk are awesome, and Im one of those diseased types that likes the Simeon.
