Just watched the new trailer for Dirty Bomb at the E3 PC Gamer conference and..

I am really excited about the new characters! I really loved Phantom in the trailer, very entertaining. Sparks looks cool. Also that new medic(?) character can self revive and a deploy-able barrier/shield which can very interesting. Thoughts?

Pheonix is his name, he has a healing burst aoe blast ability and a self revive with a 1 minute cooldown, Turtle is the yet to be released merc, both in alpha nad even earlier betas that I’m more than happy to be correct about a while back.

Phoenix was the self-rez medic. Turtle was the merc with the shield (so he does exist!). Cool. Just…cool.

Yeah, that was an awesome trailer. It was funny and had good action and showed off the game somewhat well despite being a non-gameplay CGI trailer.

And why is there a rhino without AURA n Health station behind him ? Somehow this trailer is the opposite of the reality !

We can hope it’s a sign of plans to re-structure the map in a similar fashion. The tube on the left could easily be modified into something resembling what we saw.

I’m glad we could see mercs we didn’t see a lot , like phantom and turtle… I’m pretty sure i read somewhere that phantom was removed from the alpha for reasons , but now that he’s the star of the trailer, i feel we have good chance of seeing him again !

It would be pretty idiotic not to bring him in at some point after advertising him in such a big way. So yeah we’ll see phantom. Just hope it’s not a really long time away.
