Ok, so we know the 8 mercs left for weeks 3&4. Turns out there is quite a bit of function overlap that restricts the number of viable permutations:
Engineer: Bushwhacker vs Fletcher
Assault: Fragger vs Thunder
Recon: Red Eye vs Vassili
Uhmm… support-ish?
: Kira vs Phoenix
I don’t have access to any free rotation stats but my gut tells me that SD can create an easy rotation to win for either Fletcher or Vassili. Grouping them with Thunder and Phoenix - one is weak, the other is non-exciting. Kira and Fragger are more appealing.
My tinfoil hat predictions based on that assumption and my worst fear - an easy win for Vas:
- Bushwhacker, Thunder, Vassili, Phoenix
- Fletcher, Fragger, Red Eye, Kira
I tried creating two equal groups for them but ultimately I failed. So the only solution is for them to battle it out now. Question is who else should be with them, which means being condemned to a certain loss?My guess is:
- Fletcher, Thunder, Vassili, Phoenix - looking at Sawbonez in week 1, Phoenix has no chance so he may as well be here. Thunder - sorry, buddy
- Bushwhacker, Fragger, Red Eye, Kira - a very close and exciting group that may fluctuate to the very last day
