PC gamer here. Been playing Brink since release and these are my thoughts so far.
I truly do enjoy this game. I have been reading the forums since the game launched and the majority of feedback that Brink receives is negative. People flock forums claiming the game gets boring after a short amount of time and the truth of the matter is that’s only your opinion. 
All games start off strong and the community eventually slims down with time. For example, RIFT was so popular during release that Trion Worlds had to include tons of servers in order to satisfy all of their customers. Now, there are fewer people playing and more lower populated servers. My point is this: each game has its own tight knit community that will continue to enjoy the game and will play it for months (even years) after release regardless of the haters.
I am not saying that the game is perfect by any means! There are definitely changes that need to be made. I have searched for solutions to increase my framerate (ATI HD5850) but I have yet to truly fix the problem. Don’t get me wrong…the game is easily playable but there is always room for improvement when it comes to performance.
