Just heard of Brink...

(X_RedShadow_X) #1

Yesterday I was looking for an online shooter to buy and I came across Brink, and my god how did i not hear about it sooner lol. How some of you have been able to wait a year + is beyond me, thankfully I’ll only have to wait two weeks.
A couple of questions.
Can you slide at will or can you only do it on a sheet of metal or board etc. ?

Can heavy’s do any Parkour?

Is there dual pistols?

Are there any ps3 USA clans around? They all seem to be PC or a console that’s outside the US

Sorry if these are common sense or have been asked a 100 times, I’ve been reading lots of threads on here and watching the vids that are released.

welcome.

you have to use smart or sprint then crouch to slide. boards/sheet metal don’t exist as interactive objects to my knowledge (the vid showing this was a cinematic)

heavies can do some parkour, but it is much more limited.

no dual pistols.

no clue about clans. ps3 or otherwise.

(hamstein) #3

I heard you can slide at will

Heavies can’t parkour

No dual pistols that I’ve hard about

Think there’s some topic about clans, wouldn’t worry till the game comes out though

(DarkangelUK) #4

Heavies can parkour, just somewhat limited to lower areas or smaller walls.

(LyndonL) #5

A) So long as you have momentum you can slide
B) No, only mantle small walls
C) AFAIK no
D) Yes I think

(cam_sk8r) #6

Heavys can do some parkour, like for example, if there is a large wall or a building a heavy NOT just gonna climb but if there is a little wall (up to his waist), but basicallly heavys can climb over waist level stuff but nothing higher i dont think

lucky you, i wish i’d heard about brink just 2 week before it’s release. Sadly i’ve been waiting for this game for 2 years now

(BuzzNot.V1) #8

what they all said.

(Evil-Doer) #9

Ya your deff lucky you only had to wait a couple weeks! Been looking at links and videos for over a year!!

(Linsolv) #10

You can slide at will.

Heavies can do some limited moves—basically they’re Call of Duty characters, as I understand it.

No akimbo anything that I am aware of. Pistols included.

There are some clans that were supposed to include the PS3 and were supposed to be based in the US. Unit 13 comes to mind. However, Unit 13’s forums are down and have been for weeks, from what I’m told.

(Herandar) #11

Then they’d be a perfect fit for PSN.

(Linsolv) #12

Nice. I’m a little miffed about that whole thing, since I’m still short 1 PC required to get away from PSN, but man! :D:stroggtapir:

(Shadedluck) #13

Can slide anywhere, heavies can parkour, albeit awfully. They can only climb things waist high. No dual anything, and at the route PS3 is going, I would get it for another system. But I’m sure there are a couple, even with Sony’s crisis at the moment.

(Wepohn) #14

Being in the US you should look for a team/clan on the MLG forums, they’ve had a Brink thread going for quite some time in the shooters discussion section.

(amazinglarry) #15

Welcome to the SD forums! Anything you asked was mostly answered above. I just wanted to welcome you. Hope to see you in game! PC version right? Good!

(Daystar) #16

Larry, I think he is on PS3. Hence why he was asking about PS3 clans.

Just my… intuition, though, I could be wildly off-target…

(tokamak) #17

Don’t worry, it’s not your fault.

(X_RedShadow_X) #18

Thanks for the replys, yea I only have a PS3, not going to buy an Xbox cause I’m not a fan of paying for online, and my PC won’t be able to handle Brink. With the way PSN is going I wouldn’t be surprised if they start charging. Hopefully its up and running by May 10 though

Totally missed that.

Apparently adverts in the cinema aren’t reaching a large enough audience for Tokamak. Perhaps there should be billboards on every street corner?
