Just Fix The LAG

(Brink Lags) #1

This would be a great game.

When are we going to get an update on fixing the lag?

I understand most games have lag, which is bothersome. Annoying even. Brink’s lag on the other hand makes for an unplayable $60 experience. This game badly needed a Beta to test the network. Its criminal to release in this state.

What system are you on? A lot of PC players are seeing the lag subside… I think it’s still present on the 360 (which is worrying as I’m picking up my copy for the 360 tomorrow…)

I heard the PS3 version has no lag :stroggtapir:

Hopefully i wont experience lag when psn is back up.

Freeplay is unplayable.

Try the campaign online, it’s easier to find lag-free games there, although it too suffers from the same lag issues, just less often.

LOL no PSN = no lag nice one

(Mighty Matt) #7

I joked last night while playing with the extreme lag that “This is worse than the PSN network”.

(engiebenjy) #8

PSN lag for free!

(Brendover) #9

They NEED to fix this ASAP. The gameplay is spectacular, but fix the lag and everything will be perfect.

(system) #10

There’s no lag liar, if you select the proper server that is. :stroggbanana:

(PopeTackler) #11

And you get what you pay for!

It is ridiculous that I can’t play brink for two days now because of the lag issue on xbox 360. I rather watch paint ****ing dry instead of playing it. Don’t get me wrong, the gameplay is fun but the F’ing lag is whole other story. My screen freeze, I’m teleporting, I get kill without know what happen. It is horrible on the 360 right now.:penguin:

PC - Pick a server with low ping, herp derp.
360 - Have some patient and make sure it isn’t your connection.
PS3 - Thank god you got on PSN.

No lag on the PC version for me, the gameplay is very smooth.
Sometimes If I join a server mid game it will take 5 seconds or so to straighten out but nothing big.

This game is a breath of fresh air imo.
I played 1 hour of the xbox version to and it defiantly had a bit more lag and more bugs, but sitll not horrible imo.

PC versino is def the one to get.

Its what day 3??? Give the devs some time dude. It will be fixed. This isnt Homefront.

(TheBIG_Lebowski) #16

Its OK it will be fixed. Even BLOPS had unplayable lag its first week. Just chill your pants, watch the paint dry in your room.

(Calelith) #17

Working multiplayer? :penguin:

I’m slightly worried about what the influx of EU gamers will do tomorrow, i’m getting my game at 9am…just hope i can play online.

(PopeTackler) #18

Indeed. And not everyone comes to these forums and if they pick up the game and find it won’t work for them, there’ll be a ton of trade-ins or returns on day 1. It’ll leave a bad taste in everyone’s mouth if it isn’t playable.

I’ll be picking my copy up at around 9am as well… I expect to be able to play without issue in maybe a week, by which time it might be too late.

Oh??? Someone posted the exact oppisite earlier…

I’m kind of thinking that the lag might just be badly set up servers. I’ve played a few matches where it was pretty laggy and I had to quit, but others have been silky smooth.
