Just downloaded wolf E.T. and can't stay connecte to any game servers? help?

Hello and thx for answering my ?'s. I just downloaed Wofl E.T. today and then when I 1st strated to play in the games, I accecpted all the games forms and punkbusters form. I then select play online and all the game servers open up ok. BUT when I select one of them on the right side it says the games downloading several things to get into a game. but then when its finished a wolf E.T. window opens and says “Can not connect to servers” try again yes or no. I choose yes but same windoe opens and says con not connect to servers. What do I need to do so I can play i the games? And I have vista home premium dula core CPU at 2.0Ghz, 2 Gb ram and directx10 and both punkbusters are allowed through firewall and the new E.T> is allowed thruogh the firewall too. I read where there is a patch 2.60b. I don’t know where to look to see which version I just downloaded? When you reply tell me where to see which version I have of E.T. and where do i go to download the newest patch 2.60b? and how do i stay connected to game servers so i can get in toi play the games? Thx for helping this old school computer guy out. :slight_smile:

I also read the system req. and on the graphics cards it said to have Gforce and radon cards that support 3d. Ok I have intel card with 3d support. I can download and play the other combat games from their websites fine so i hope I can use my inetl card for this game. And where do i go to get the newest patch? and which version do I have after just instailling today. I thinmk I may need the updated patch? I hope some one can help me get connected to the game servers? thanks for all your help.

I found ET in the wolfenstein folder and cked run as XP Sp2 and run as administer. so I hope i can connect to game servers now and get in a game. But I went to and clicked on games and saw the 2.60 and 2.60b updates there. Do I need to download those 2 update so I can connect to servers and not get kicked out and will the game play better with these updates?? I don’t know which version I just downloaed so i would like to do the update if they will help me play better.?? Thanks for any and all answers . cv

Thanks alot pegaus for the nice and informative answer. All I asked was how do I find out which version I have and ift not 2.60 and 2.60b should I download the updates to see if the game playes better?? If this is to much for any one to answer then I know what kind of players are here. thx if you can answer 2 ?'s.

Well, he made 2 threads, with the same question. So i just had to know why. Plus he replied to his own thread like 3 times :tongue:
Sorry if i offended you gunruner1 :slight_smile: no harm done

I suggsest you should download 2.60b as it is much more stable and bug free version of the game.
