Sure no game should be buggy at release. But I think the point is my brother and me have played etqw at the gc2006 and we were not be able to see any major bugs. The game run fine with 20 players. Yes I know the graphic was old, and I know, (after i’ve seen some of the fobidden closed beta screens) that the hud has changed.

Since the gc2006 an half year has gone and i think there are enough bugs that will first be seen at release (like every other game). I don’t see much movement and the gamers community want to see that something is happening (Yes there were a couple of previews in the last week, but it’s always the same).

What I mean I have had bought the game at the gc2006 if you had been able to do so. And all the waiting is too much since I know the game is almost ready for half an year.

If you have ever played an id game you would know they apatch thier games until they are completed. Thes support thier games no matter what and always listen to the community and patch games according to the problems they hear there.

id stands by making quality titles and supporting them, they are not the money whoring giant EA is… they do not push out crap and tons of it. Anyone who buys an EA game and complains about it, then buys another EA game expecting somethign different makes me fucking laugh.

Arc and Valley are the demonstrating objects so I think they are almost ready. In the beta screens there are four other maps. For more infos pm me.

Alright, well cool. Im sure they are done, but like i said, i think they pushed the release date because in fall of 2006 everyone is working, which means less sales. In June everyone is on vacation and school is pretty much over.

They might have also had to make a few changes but im sure they are finished. And i also said i would NEVER buy another game from EA or Dice because they ALWAYS mess it up. They never do a good job and i will never waste my hard earned cash on them again.

It’s good to hear that id and splashdamage give good customer support. Knowing that i will buy games from them until they run out of idea’s.

I think that everything is ready except for optimalisation/bugfixes. It now has a rating. Then why would they let some clans test ETQW when only 2 maps are finished yet. No this game is almost ready to release. Then, ID/SD wont bring out another game you must buy within 3 years, highly 1 expansion pack. And not like EA sending out 3-4 BF games in the same time…

EA SUCKS!!! It’s been so long since i’ve played a non-buggy game thanks to EA. It’s going to be weird playing without worry of crashing or anything like that. I can’t wait. Ill finally be able to play without trying to avoid bugs and exploits all the time.

Yeah i know. EA had to patch BF 2142 on the first day it came out. That was pathetic. I didn’t buy it because i knew they would mess it up.

I think they mentioned making an expansion because they didn’t have enough time to fit it all in at once. So after release and final bug fixes, they will start making expansion.

By the way, will there be a single player? I’ve seen some FAQ’s where they said there would be a single player and some others where they said there wouldn’t be a single play.

There is no single players as such. You can however play with bots by yourself on the multiplayer maps.

Lol. Yo on some websites they say the release date will be June 6th, but Splash damage and id software said there is no official release date. Does that mean those websites are just guessing, to keep customers?

Very likely. This might be based on some estimate or target they got from the publisher, or they might just have made it up.

EA released BF2142 cause they tought SD would release ET:QW :lol:

So they pumped out a game in no time, trying to steal players away from ET:QW, omg, they almost have the same idea behind the game, futuristic, walking tanks etc :roll:

EA is crap…
Now ET:QW didnt get released and now BF is full of bugs and QW isnt :evil:

Do not forget to mention that EA also added the function to drop vehicles in the battlefield with a patch of BF2 as fast as SD told us that that is an option in ETQW…
