Just curious - did the movement nerf patch gets reversed?

Haven’t played DB in probably months, since that patch that nerfed movement (ie, if you move in combat/jump, your accuracy makes you unable to hit anything, so that the game becomes more realistic). Just curious if that horrible idea of a patch got reversed, or if it’s still in the game. Have nearly 600 hours on this and would probably get back into it if that horrible idea got reversed.

Thanks.

No.

Bye.

Strafing during an aim duel is still one of the most important skills, and is definitely still viable, just like jumpshotting still is. Just make it unpredictable, and keep your crosshair on the heads.

If you were a proxy/pheonix/anybody who enjoyed randomly jumping at mid-range in the middle of a fight and praying you hit a shot then you will still not enjoy the game.

If you strafe back and forth your accuracy is never affected. Shots get somewhat randomized via massive spread if you jump and fire while still in the air. It’s always been like that and the patch you’re referring to increased the spread by 15% IIRC. So not a monster change but much less likely to hop with a weapon and hit. You can still do it with shotguns at close range but that has more to do with pellet mechanics and close range than the spread not applying to the gun.

There never was such a patch.

(BananaSlug) #6

@MarsRover there was, with the jump sniping nerf i think, all weapons had increased spread when you jumped, but jumping in the middle of combat never was a good idea

No, I’m pretty sure it didn’t do this:

He’s just exaggregating as usual to appear credible. Was annoying before he left and is annoying now.
“I can’t hit anything when I jump” “movement itself was nerfed” and so on. Don’t even argue, you’ll lose. Move along.
