Joining into spectate?

Is there anyway to join a match and not take up a slot, and just spectate players? I don’t want to be that guy that ends up ruining the team I left by having them be down 2 players (it matters) because I only wanted to watch.

No, sadly it takes up a slot. Which is why I vote kick people that have been in spectator for more than one round if the server is full.

Unfortunately, they have not fixed that Spectators take up a player slot in the server, so it’s best to just not spectate.

Because of this the only reason you should ever spectate is to record a hacker.
