Job on the Side mission even worse than I thought..

(Destroy666) #1

I thought it counted any way of doing secondary objective, but apparently not. Today I had 3/4 side objectives done, then I played on Underground as a defender. I blew up the barrier generator in the last stage of the map 2 times - it counted towards Game Mode XP missions, but not towards the worst type of mission and I still had 3/4. Does only building stuff count?

Dont fix it, just remove the whole thing.

Yup.
I think it would be more beneficial for the ingame climate if we had missions like, supply your teammates with 50 ammo/medpacks!

I like that idea…

Current Side missions are lame…

Not enough side obj for this mission, I blame level design …

Or even better just ditch the whole mission system and just award credits directly for doing useful things like supplying packs to teammates, getting frags or blowing up/disarming objectives. I think that a mission system that arbitrarily tells people to do something will always result in people doing that thing without regards to what actually needs to be done in order to win the map. This has a direct negative impact on the game experience for everyone playing the game, the only possible exception being the tard who’s doing his stupid mission.
Of course a system that directly rewards all actions at the end of each map would also need to be carefully balanced in order to stop farming credits by doing one particular thing.
