I’ve got some problems with models, when I load a model into radiant I see it, but when testing my map I don’t see it :???:

Please tell me how to fix this. :angry:

Other questios about models => What’s the model for the Radar grass?

And how many radar grass models you can place in your map? (maybe a stupid question)

Please give me some answers :angry:

Hi, I think Iffy is trying to say… Less smileys makes better questions. And the Search is your friend.

  1. check your mocel path in radiant.
  2. check if ET gives you warning/error when loading up the map.
  3. Are you using misc_model or misc_gamemodel?

Radar grass is not included with radiant or Enemy Territory. It is compiled into radar map. So you cannot get it. Radar uses foliage shader for the grass. You should check the documentation that came with level editing tools to implement the grass… Please use search before posting.

I think I know my mistake, I’m using misc_gamemodels…

I have to use misc_models eh?

Misc_models are compiled into the compiled map (.bsp -file) So they should work 100% if your q3map2 finds them.
Misc_gamemodels are just references to object files from bsp -file. these are preferred if you use more of them, because they do not add the bsp filesize.

Are you using separate ET installation to test or are you using same you are mapping? If you are using separate installation and misc_gamemodels then you have to include the models (+textures) into pk3 file.
