It Does Not Take Long To Get 50K (For a Merc) Credits In Dirty Bomb
Why complain about something so easy? It really dosnt take long at all. I have 250 hours and have bought the following with credits, Arty, Sparks, Phantom, Sawbonez, Redeye and now Pheonix, i have done tons of trade ups and bought plenty of cases and bronze cards too. I am also just level 18, havnt really played this game in over a month too.
Oh and i got like 45k out of 50k ready for my next merc. Do missions and get your daily bonuses if you enjoy the game.
I don’t think it takes that long to unlock a merc through normal play. I mean, you could always just buy one with real money if you don’t want to spend the time to unlock one with credits. I feel like if it was easy to unlock mercs, people would then complain about that, and then say there’s nothing for them to do, since they already have all the mercs.
The F2P business model is nearly perfect in this game, I’d rate it a 9/10. Not freely handed out to you but not super grindy either, they only need to get rid of competitive missions and reduce the requirement for side objective missions, and also fix the issue where sometimes they don’t reset after the 3 hour mark. The cash aspect kinda sucks though, everything is too expensive, and no refunds on bundles is annoying too.
that was pretty funny. I don’t mind the 50k on a merc, but then no money left for cases and upgrades. So then I buy more elite cases to end up with cards I don’t want.
Eh. Would give it a 7/10. While they’re successful at preventing it to be P2W, there just isn’t any incentive to spend money. Hopefully, they’ll add a skin equipment system.

The problem is as a casual player I start feeling forced to play everyday, I end up not playing a few days or weeks… Then I login and think about all the credits I would of had if I had done those missions.
But logging in to just do missions is annoying and takes awhile, and it feels like I’m forcing myself to play.
My point is that the whole mission system kind of makes me not want login.
Yet at the same time I understand that without the missions I’d have made a lot less credits.
I feel like I am in a no win situation.
So yeah, I wish I could play Dirty Bomb as much as some people do, maybe I’d appreciate the mission system more, but IDK.

It sounds more psychological then anything at this stage, there needs to be a point in which you just want to play some Dirty Bomb and so far most of your thoughts are revolving around either losing credits or being forced to do missions.
Is the problem that you don’t have enough mercs to satisfy your normal game play? or that you just want to try other Mercs?
I played near 200 hours of just exploring the possibilities of the game and its mechanics/advanced meta while playing mostly the same Merc to perfect my own personal play style of said Merc. Only the last 50 hours were somewhat grindy as i focused a little more on completing missions before the 3 hour reset. By that stage when i wanted to grind out missions i already had more then enough Mercs i wanted to play over and over to get the same high level of understanding.
Phantom, Redeye were bought just to try new things, i didn’t even play them 10% of what i have played Sparks and Arty, same with Sawbonez i barely touched it after buying. Pheonix was my main from Alpha so i plan to enjoy figuring out him too.
I think you would have a better time if you focused on trying new Mercs when they are on rotation then grinding out ones your not sure of.

But without the grind that is required to receive those Cobalts, they would be worthless and pointless.
And in terms of unlocking Mercs, it’s very rare to find a game that truly has a grind to unlock everything that takes months - if you play Battlefield you unlock everything in a few weeks of playing (if you play most evenings). In COD it’s about the same - it doesn’t take long for you to unlock every gun (not counting the Prestige thing). I love a game that I can pour 300 hours into and STILL be unlocking more and more content for that game.

Please stop ruining another team based fps game with the stupid useless grinding for personal gain attitude. this attitude is exactly what ruins fps games today:
half the team just playing for themselves not caring about the team at all.
“Oh, we dont have any medic on the team and we’re losing? well not my problem, im here to get 15K combat xp so i can get those 1000 credits.”
Or in battlefield:
“Oh, we’re losing? well not my problem, im here to unlock the third variation of a suppressor i’ll never use on a sniper rifle i only use because im unlocking said suppressor. So i rather camp over here than help capturing the objective over there.”
if you want games where you can pour hundreds of hours in it just to unlock then there are plenty of games already made just for that purpose. Team based fps games like dirty bomb is not one of them.
Play to win as a team, not to unlock as an individual!
