Are there currently any working servers in north america?

Can anyone confirm a single GSP that has working servers in north america since this patch?

I have personally yet to see a server I ping less than 150 to since the patch. My team’s server hosted by Gameserver.com has been broken since the patch. Is this working for anyone?

I have yet to see any servers with less than 150 also. (East Coast USA)

Same here. In the BRINK browser, I see one server out of Chicago under 50 ping. All other servers 143 +. However, the STEAM browser shows the correct amount of servers under 100 ping.

I believe we’ve identified the cause and we’re working on a fix now.

No ETA on the fix just yet, but we’ll get it out as soon as we can.

Nice to hear

Cant wait to test the Update

(Seven.) #46

My servers have been offline for almost 24 hours now. I hope the fix comes soon.

(Patriotqube) #47

Well your unfortunately not exactly alone with that Problem :frowning:

In fairness , both SD and my GSP Rackage , as well as other GSP’s have been working their tapir assess off to find a solution since last night. They have kept us as informed as they could and asked for any useful information from us. I think that is a pretty good show of support. If they have managed to figure it out they all deserve their pint tonight. If not, then Badman will be dipping into his wallet for more pizza this evening.

Aghhhhhhh . Be careful with it!

Ello Gonzo.

I havent questioned that.

i know theyve worked on the issue the whole time, and Im glad for it. and appreciate it

Still dosent change the fact that the servers has been offline for some time

SD must be relieved that they have identified the problem.

Just out of curiosity i installed the Steam version of the dedi server on Win7x64 and it works fine with the standard .cfg’s (unaltered)
But when i installed the Steam version on another machine running XPx64 it crashed.
I know this doesn’t help GSP’s or the majority of guys here, but it may help the developers

(Smooth) #53

We we’re only seeing the issue on WinXP systems on our end, but it has been reported on multiple operating systems.

The fix won’t be coming out today, unfortunately. We still need to build the patch and put into test which will take some time.

(Mustang) #54

What operating system is it running on (32 or 64bit)?
Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 SP2

Is it a physical box or VM?
Physical

Which Control Panel software is being used (if any)?
None

Is it being run as a service/not?
Service (FireDaemon)

Is there a local firewall in place?
Issue persists with firewall turned off

What type of networking? (Multi-homed? NICs & IPs)
No multihoming, single NIC, single public IP

As always I’m happy to test any configs, dev or debug builds you would wish me to

(DrD3ath) #55

Rackage have set us up with a temporary server that works. I’ll start a new thread for people to publicise their temporary servers and unaffected working servers in the Brink General Discussion forum as that seems to be the most active.

any developments? eta?

(Smooth) #57

Fix is in testing now, it’s too late for a release today though.

(Mustang) #58

@Smooth/Crispy
Care to say what the issue is?

(Smooth) #59

It’s an issue related to hardware ids which we use when reporting stats.

Not all hardware/software setups are hit by the problem, which was why it wasn’t picked up before release.

(DrD3ath) #60

Was it the Resistence ?
