Thanks to all for your help here in the forums!

I have released a bug-fixed version of Island called Island2

Fixes:
Fixed major FPS drops underground
2:nd radio now have Axis only/Covert ops door
Cannon can only be destroyed by Allies
A lot of minor texture fixes
New command map

Thanks, I kinda started mapping to Doom II, then a long break and started with RtCW.
This is my 5:th map and I am still learning…

I see it that you had a long break I’m very happy when mapper doesn’t give up and they now the map to create becomes very hard.
I pull the hat before each particular map by is perhaps also only because of it which I straight Moguai- Freak hear.

Just out of curiosity, why do people use grass texture going into sea? This is both here and in fun beach - grass will not grow in salt water!
Come to think of it, it usually doesn’t grow right up to the edge of normal water either (rots the roots). :smiley:

I’ll grab the map and take a look over the next few days - looks good though, and not a massive epic in scale which makes a great change. I feel a good future for your maps :wink:

Thanks for posting at wildstars ajyuri!

G0-Gerbil, I worked pretty hard with the terrain on this one to get it the way I wanted it but I saw what you saw about the grass going into the water at some places. I decided to let it be since my main focus has been on fun gameplay and not on making the best looking terrain ever (that I believe sock here has done that anyway with his test map). :wink:

I wanted to make a small map that was kind of a mix of RtCW Beach and Castle, this is what I came up with. Personally I think there are far to many large maps out there, you spend half of the gametime running where you need to go.

I hope that this map may be suited for some good clan play.
