Is this game still the same scam I bought in May?
Or has splash damage actually spent time polishing their product so that it’s worthwhile?
Just wondering.

no.
Yes
Surely you came online for the limited time free DLC ? right? if not then LOL
I missed it by one day. Pretty cheap of them to promise free DLC for a limited amount of time when everyone expected it to be obtainable whenever they put brink in.
I completely agree. I was on vacation for the majority of the summer, and completely missed my chance to download the DLC. I bought the game when it came out, but hell… ever since I found out I missed out on the free DLC I stopped playing Brink entirely.
I feel as though I was slapped in the face by Slash Damage after buying a cupcake from their bake sale. It doesn’t make you want to come back for more. Especially when they stated that early supporters of the game would get free frosting to their cupcake… Yeah right…
So, if someone can answer this question: Is Brink after all the months it’s had to be fixed (without the frosting) worth while if the player has Battlefield 3?

Just pointing out that it’s not SD that slapped you in the face. It’s Bethesda (who slapped you in the face with every game they released early, full of bugs and continue to slap you with backwards flying dragons).
SD are the guys that bake the cupcake. They mix the eggs and flour and sugar etc. Bethesda are the guys that opened the oven early and took that cupcake out half-baked so that they could sell it early. Bethesda are the ones that put up the poster to lure you in and then slapped you after emptying your wallet.
Maybe SD could have pushed back more and fought for more time to dev / QA, but they’re under contract and ultimately it’s the publisher (Bethesda) pulling most of the strings and handing out the money. And this is why I haven’t bought Rage or Skyrim. Bethesda suck and I no longer support them in any way.
If you have BF3? No. BF3 is orders of magnitude better than Brink in terms of content, quality and production (although I suspect the money spent on producing it is also orders of magnitude greater).
I’d say it depends on what kind of game you want to play, BF3 of course doesn’t have the same objective game play as Brink (tho’ Rush mode comes close).
you can download http://planetquake.gamespy.com/View.php?view=QuakeWars.Detail&id=32 and make some urban and any type of map and have no actual point or linked to the strogg in any way, its better then BF3 and doesnt have spaz legs when you jump, and its kinda like http://www.militarykit.com/products/wenger_swiss_army_knives/wenger_giant.htm
