It’s real. They’ve been on every server for a few days now. Notice that once playing they do not show up in spec

I guess they record to see how balance works in pubs or something like that but I ain’t sure.
What I am sure about is that it is from SD

I’m guessing it could be one of two things:

-1 It’s a trial for demo recording in-game, so you can save a replay after the match, makes sense since unreal tournament 3 does this :smile:

-2 It’s some form of progress into an “overwatch” system like CS:GO and LoL (I think? xD), where us as a community can watch pre-recorded sections of matches in which people think a player is hacking, and we can vote as to what we thought they were. This is a big stretch though so I’m more towards the first idea I said…

I’m leaning towards a combination of both, afaik, games have always been data recorded by Echo, this might be adding video

Somethimes (before update) when i joined random server i was auto trown into spectator for no reason,… dunno why! It happened twice… will see if its gonna continue!

Haha, it’s funny because the day this feature came out, I joined a game where someone was using a variation of the name while he was recording a cheater at play. I thought he latched on to me afterwards, since I saw that name pop up ever since.

Took me a few games to see that it wasn’t counting to the player totals, and as such must’ve been a feature. Seeing no mention of it anywhere until now had me worried for a second that I was under some sort of investigation.

Good to know I can finally take off my tinfoil hat. It was itching!
