is this possible?

is it possible to remove a part of a brush for example a cirkle?
is it possible to divide a big brush into several small ones with the same total shape?

edit: the question number 2 is not for circkles only squares

Check the documentation for the clipper tool. You can clip while keeping both parts. (2nd Question)

As far as the first, you can use CSG subtract, but that will get you in trouble more often than not…especially subtracting a circle. Better off just building the brush minus circle manually.

Im a noob tho, so experts please correct me

brushes cannont invert (or how i describe it to myslef anyway) so you cant have 1 brush with a hole in

dont use the subtract tool to make the circel as you will get many hidden faces, depending on what u want to use this circle for u might want to look at the cylinder tool

you can shape a brush to anything you want, by making brushes that make an outline of the object you want sometimes, then clipping it from a larger brush, of course it can end up being a serious amount of small brushes, but you can make pretty much anyshape with brushs, its just a matter of finding out what weird shapes you need to make and clip to make it work. hope that helps

And in the worst case you could use patches for total curved stuff.

as you probably can see here i hav ebeen able to make a circle.
but i also want to make a scuare with a hole at the size of the circle so the gray spots will be filles and the hole open.
@commando i apriciate you effort and i got a bit of it but i dont think i am able to make it is there an easy way to make what i want?

Try a brush with 1/4 size of your hole, choose “Curve --> Bevel”, then “Curve --> Cap selection --> Inverted Bevel”. After you’ve got your cap you may want to invert it for texturing by choosing “Curve --> Matrix --> Invert” (or CTRL + I).
