just wonder if it is…
could get the line to add in the bsp s h i t

Yes it works with ET.
Although its not comparable to the command maps done by hand. Might be a useful starting point though.

nah nothing happend…couldnt find any file…

wasnt there a tutorial somewhere how to make this easy?

Just tested it, so I am not telling you some dream

I used NetRadiant a newer version should be available through Xonotic (no idea if its still in work or compatible to ET) .

q3map2.exe -game et -force -minimap -size 512 -sharpen 1 -border 0 C:\maps\bucket_v2\maps\bucket_v2.bsp

And I got this as tga, in same directory as the bsp was.

edit: if you want to make command maps, you better use something else I think. Though depending on your photoshop skills it might be a very good starting point.
This is another option, imho better:

This was exactly what I was looking for thanx mate
And… just for the record I didnt thought you tell me some dream  just said that it didnt work for gtk 1.6 for some reason

EDIT: worked as a charm! only thing was I had to adjust it to the map…
This goes for the mapcords and my map isnt exacly square, but by using the tracemap and this one I got it working

I looked for NetRadiant builds few weeks ago, their website is down for a while (AlienTrap or something), and the latest I have found is netradiant-20120705-win32, on a certain game forums (Not Xonotic, but another one)…

The tool pointed always returns a memory leak or something, on my previous 7 laptop and also on the new one  Shame ><’

(ailmanki) #7

No idea what there should be different, but newer versions are not always better.
The netradiant bundled for Xonotic is the same as this one http://www.icculus.org/netradiant/files/netradiant-1.5.0-20120301-win32-7z.exe as it seems.

If you can post the exact error msg, maybe I can help you.

I had a connection cut so I have not been able to edit my post in time;

I re-extracted the package at the root of the HDD, tweaked the INI, copied needed files… And it works. On my previous attempts I was extracting it to an other folder and maybe renaming the folder itself, but now it works as expected. Cool tool to check lighting, even better than r_lightmap, but some patches are wiped, and a shader parser like suggested in the readme would be cool… When I’ll be advanced enough in coding, maybe
