If the game lets you do it all with inside the game, I don’t see how they can ban you for it. If you were using some kind of outside program, then maybe, but personally I don’t see why.

It’s only textures. I don’t see how it’s any different to someone using mumble crosshairs really.

You really want me to put up a guide so they can patch it again ? Calling it “unfair” advantage coz you can see through plastic covering trees. I think this method is unpatchable, but i stil have a doubt, Pm me, il. tell you how it works. And to make i guide, i Still have to refer few people if it can be patched, i dont want it to be patched.

I’d kill to make my game look like this. It’s less distracting, and easier on the eyes. Probably something old school Quakers will relate to better than anyone else.

thats the reason why some players called “hackers” on the servers…you can use programs like “nVidia inspector” to erase all textures…have a little bit like wallhack or not?

i test this yesterday and it works again…i tested this in alpha times…nothing has changed about “ngs cheat protection”

devs said on multiple occassions that this lvl of potato is not okay.

oldschool quakers need to realize its been over a decade and times have changed.

it is obvious to anyone with half a brain that this level of detail reduction is a gameplay advantage. and once legal it would become obligatory - you would have to use potato as well to not put yourself at a disadvantage relative to those that do.

forcing people to play potato just because some people got stuck in year 2001 is not cool. ban away, even though like people pointed out, its bypassed at GPU lvl, not the game’s

If it removes things like trees and other obstructions then it would not be considered tournament legal. But you most likely wouldn’t be banned for it outright by SD for it. It would be patched though if it was an engine thing. But I have a feeling you’re not doing that and are instead using something like the AMD control panel or similar that can do this to games as well if you know what you’re doing.

but is this not a shame for the developers that some players use this configs 4 playing?

in rtcw was the bad word “picmip” the leagues at this time banned every players who used this shit…

and my next question ngs cheat cannot blocking this programs?..or banned players for using this shit?

No its not an advantage, Yes you can see through some trees better, Can only call an advantage over the Chapel elevated mg part when attacking, you could see enemies better through that tree, Not game changing though. Otherwise its just for performance. I use a frikkin GeForce 210 so performance hurts. you wouldnt be a fan playing at 640x480 right ?

Its not a frikkin program, its called “settings”. Settings are changed because every person is not equally rich neither is every PC. This thread wasnt supposed to invite people raging over useless things, it was to help people with very low end pc make this game more playable.

nope… RTCW/ET you could only achieve this with Rivatuner which got you banned (Hi razz). and since Rivatuner and Nvidia inspector are not the Game Settings you will be banned, because its removes foliage and stuff.
