is there any particular reason we arent getting notified about updates?

i have no desire to go on the other forum. why arent we being updated here at all? this is the second time ive launched and had to download 3 gigs

The 3gig download is because its re downloading the whole build as they have not added “patch” functionality as of yet.

Recently I had to re-download the 3gig around the time they removed the matchmaking button again.

I would assume a good reason to not inform people of updates would be to see if people notice a good or bad change in the gameplay. Sometimes the idea of an update can feel a lot crazier than it would in practice.

Personally I assume its 1 of 2 reasons…

1, its a bug… something happening with the file structure is causing the game to think the install is corrupt and re downloading the whole thing.
2. The changes are small and not worth an official post when in the next big patch they can mention everything.

Due to the fact hes had to update 3GB twice recently he is wondering where the update notes are.

patch notes. we used to receive them the day of patches. i would launch a lot more if i knew there was one. i just assumed they were being posted on the other forum, but you’re telling me they arent even doing that?

The reason I said I assume this is a bug is because the last time mine updated (and I play daily) was the day of the last patch notes.

I have had a couple of tiny updates since but no big 3gb ones.

As pixel mentioned perhaps disabling of matchmaking triggered the download. It was enabled for a couple of hours, then disabled again, so nothing has changed since the last patch notes.
