Is there an issue with FEL-IX?

I have been using it for about 10 games now, noticed that shots made while scoped sometimes does not go where it’s supposed to go as in it goes a bit to the left or right, depending on the direction you were previously moving before you stop and fire your shot.

Am I the only getting this?

Do you have any recording of it happening? I know @NxA_Noxie would appreciate it if you did.

Haven’t felt that happening myself unless I was still moving when I fired.

I played using the FEL-IX last night and I didn’t notice any issues with bullets not going where they were supposed to. I do know if you quickscope and you don’t allow enough time for the animation to finish your bullets will not go where your crosshair is. Just like in CS you have to wait for the animation to finish before you click. It’s possible you’re simply firing a wee bit too early.

Wish I did :’(

All I can tell though, is that when I was aiming, I saw the name and health highlight when you aim at an enemy before firing, might have been the big dot on FEL-IX that was tricking me into thinking that the shot was going to hit however.

Snipered with Vassili and the FEL-IX today more or less a good lot and never had any problems regarding shots not going where i aimed.

It’s most likely this. Sometimes a fraction of a second too early of a quickscop makes the difference between a headshot and a moonshot.

(AnonOmis1000) #7

It’s possibly a combination of things. I know personally I flinch sometimes when I snipe. I don’t know why, I just do. Another possible source of this phenomenon is lag compensation. Your client shows the enemy in your crosshair where you get their name and health, but according to the server you were a fraction of an inch off. Then, as other have stated, you may have been moving when you fired or fired too quickly before you were at maximum accuracy.

@aristocraticLadder Quickscoping in Dirty Bomb is not a thing. So just stay wayy behind the front lines… Also i love your name.

(ImSploosh) #9

I used to do this a lot. It took a while to adjust to the timing. It could very well be it. I’ve been using the FELIX more lately and it feels very accurate. Haven’t noticed anything unusual!

It is now after the changes in the last patch. No scoping is not a thing. Quick scoping is very much a thing.

(Dawnlazy) #11

Maybe if one uses the Aimee card with Quick Eye they can get used to shotting a tiny bit faster after scoping and then become desynched when using the same weapon without Quick Eye? That might have been the case for OP.

(Potato_Ladder) #12

@Amerika I was not quick scoping when that happened
@AnonOmis1000 My ping was around 60-85 then so no lag.
@Dawnrazor I’m using Aimee’s F75 atm

Sorry for not giving you guys all the information, was pretty tired when I just made the discussion.

I made the shots from under the 3rd MG placement on Chapel to a Vaseline who was on the right side of 2nd MG placement(from the mounter perspective) in cover, peeking out with his MOA.

That’s all I have.

(Drac0rion) #13

I think I know what you mean.
Compared to MoA, it feels like… sluggish I guess. As in if I aim at the top of the head with MoA it has always been a headshot, with Fel-ix the exact same aimed shot counts as a bodyshot sometimes.

I should check my VODs if I have some Fel-ix gameplay to point it out.

Even though MoA feels a lot cleaner to use I guess, my stats with the guns isn’t too different.

To me, it fits with AImeee’s speed and health, (I don’t dig PDP at all, and prefer Grandeur works on RedEye). I mean who’d wanna have Aimee with MoA? I wouldn’t have reason to play Vassilli over Aimee.
