Is there a way to see stats of your weapons?

(LiNkz) #1

I kinda want to see how the weapons are balanced, what is their fire rate and so on.

(DiscountLlama) #2

Yup! My main gripe with getting loadout cards is not knowing what the hell the guns actually do.

(LiNkz) #3

Like I want to know if a weapons is better than other weapon or are they built for different purposes and so on, I think it’s information we really need eventually also for secondary weapons.

(KangaJoo) #4

Even if they don’t have exact weapon stats, is there a thread someone can point new guys like me to that tells you in general how your accuracy, recoil, etc. are affected by moving, crouching, aiming down sight, and mag dumping and which weapons tend be more accurate than others?

(LiNkz) #5

@ChinaRep Sorry I haven’t seen one alike.

(Eox) #6

I really want to be able to see the stats of my weapons. It would make the loadout choice far easier.

(solt.) #7

Even if this information is never provided by the Devs as the community grows it will become known.

Unfortunately it’s a bit early for it, doesn’t hurt to ask though!

(LiNkz) #8

@joshingMorsel yeah, we have some kind of data already, but i want moar exact

(TechnoOwl) #9

I totally agree here. I shoot at people and i just see their health go down but i dont know the acktual damage it deals out, so it allso leaves me at a disadvantage personaly since its easier for me to know how much it requires for me to get a kill on special characters with a certain amount of health. And just so i can acktually SEE ALL THE THINGS

(lapislazuliPark) #10

Weapon stats may be in the works but please remember that we are currently playing closed beta so the likelhood is that stats will frequently change with hotfixes and balancing.

(LiNkz) #11

@lapislazuliPark I understand that, but as closed beta testers I could give feedback based on the stats also, instead of just general feel of the weapon.

(trappski) #12

I agree fully. The game needs a lot more information about weapons, loadouts and also about the mercs themselves.
I especially want to know the firing mode of the weapon so i know if i want it or not.

I think i like it the way it is…

for you to know what each weapon is you actually have to use it
and get good with it… then you can master it or discard for a better one!

That is complete nonsense. If you can’t differentiate between the stats / DPS / raw efficiency of a weapon you won’t be aware of it’s potential, even if you play it for a long time. If you have a high DPS weapon with some mad recoil and a mid DPS weapon with low recoil you’d play the low recoil because it comes in more handy at first. If you would have the knowledge that the other one has a better DPS output you’d probably figure your way around the recoil and deliver a much more solid offense.

But hey, i am not the one to say i’d carry a team while playing fragger at level 2 eh?

So what your saying you’d rather create a playstyle based on a gun(which with balancing is subject to change) opposed to feeling out which gun best fits your playstyle? GL changing your playstyle every patch I guess?

You must’ve misunderstood me. If you are uncertain about a guns effieciency and you are better off with another gun without knowing it, it’s not really for your benefit. If you have the potential gunning out somone with a certain gun you weren’t aware of you have a disadvantage just because of a mere lack of knowledge.

If you, however are in a disadvantage because of the way the gun works it does not make much of a sense to choose the other one.

It’s a mere thing of knowledge that brings more benefit than harm, we can agree on that right?

(coruscate) #17

@TheNinth is doing a pretty good job over at his page Weapons Gamepedia

(R5on11c) #18

Well if the devs would simply put out the raw data we wouldn’t need to look for empty servers and try to gather reproducable values, aye?

(LiNkz) #19

@Coruscate I would like to have something built-in game or while watching loadouts you know.

(distinquishedSandwich) #20

Or take a good look at this spreadsheet and discover the magic of how balancing games doesn’t work
