is there a third party involved in brink?

(Ragoo) #21
Completely unrelated, congrats on making the 5000th post in the Brink forum.

I do believe that’s worth a Brink t-shirt. PM me your address and t-shirt size and I’ll have one sent your way :D
Hey, what do I have to do to get one of these? : D I would wear it proudly and be even more effective as a walking advertisement

(badman) #22

There may or may not be more shirt giveaways for completely random / arbitrary things in the future. ;o

hahahhahaha…i love your sense of humor…but your comment is not far from the truth…
…
that last trailer with the glowing thingi at the end wont leave my head. i was thinking and thinking more… what is that glowing stuff. oh, i know, it must be aliens.
…just an idea that came through my mind when i saw that glowing thing.
I keep my fingers closed for Stabby Vlad to be the alien  wicked

(tokamak) #25

Imma let you finish but your post per day ratio is actually higher than mine.

Just sayin

(DarkangelUK) #26

I honestly don’t want to insult your intelligence, so i’ll assume you know why that is, and you’re just hoping that he doesn’t…

(tokamak) #27

Ah yes, that coming from someone who insists on commenting on my post activity in several threads including the Quake Wars forums.

What is your point? Can we expect more snide remarks about it?

hahhahahhahahaha…Do you really think you’re speaking to some random kid or someone without a university degree? Guess again…Ratio against yours? Dude no one can beat your daily post ratio so just take a chill pill? In this post alone your daily ratio is 2:1.

Seriously? Your ratio since the 1. October 2009 is 7,x. That’s a whole lot and not every post was necessary imo.

Just sayin…

Maybe the green glow is some nice grass.

(RoryGreen) #31
yea, yea. i know it sounds weired and funny.

but i dont think the idae is that far off. ok, remove the aliens as a third party, but let them have a role in the story.

i already have a level idea. a rusty, old, broken satelite fell down from space and wasnt somehow burnt by the atmosphere. its there in a centric large area, sourrounded by trash, containers and so forth in container city.

(or, no even better… its a part from the recently destroyed ISS. no one knows what happned up there, maybe it was an ALIEN attack. )

there was some lifeform on that satelite (ISS). OR an alien substance for that matter. and guess what? this substance is the green (or was it blue, nevermind) glowing thing at the end of trailer no.3.

oh, and sasha grey for new dopefish :stroggbanana:
I could write a long reply but I’ll put it simply instead: NO!

(timestart) #32

Why would they be hiding… oh right, gotcha. :infiltrator:

(alias) #33
yea, i know. but why not just add to the social problems, some science fiction. im looking at district9 and the setting always reminds me to container city. and that movie tied social issues (apathy for example) and science fiction with aliens pretty good together.

but i dont know. maybe i had a little too much fantasy there.
Well i recently saw avatar and their body proportions reminded me off the brink characters,
skinny long faces, long arms and legs, and they can do a pretty amazing physical stuff.

so for me that movie has caused me too adopt Brinks its original character design and their abilities even more.

(kilL_888) #34

hello again.

in fact, i had a little too much fantasy there.

i recently read an interview, cant remember where, but it was officially posted here somewhere or on the homepage i think and where richard ham mentioned “there are no aliens, lol”.

bummer

(radiator) #35

in their last interview, they said the only piece of science fiction they were adding to brink was the arcoral, the totally green cement they built ark with. and even that is “somehow” done today. everything in the ark is totally plausible.

It’s currently being considered to strengthen the foundations of Venice. They’re letting bacteria build a layer of sandstone around the weak buildings in the water.

And there’s this megalomaniac who wants to build an entire wall out of that stuff straight through the Sahara to stop it from expanding.

Source?? I want to read this stuff… sounds extremely interesting. I think SD should release a book to go along with Brink that explains in detail how the stuff in the game world works, me being the nerd that I am would eat that stuff like butter (ew).
