Is there a plan to get a party system for casual play?

My friend doesn’t want to do competitive play, he wants to play strictly in casual but getting both of us into a server is usually a bit of a pain. I have to search for one that has like 11/16 players so I can be on the safe side and then he can join. It’s sufficient, but a party system would be nicer.

If they’re going to add this, I’d also request a way to avoid or filter out servers that allow parties. Getting pubstomped in a group of randoms by an organized team isn’t much fun…

Parties are pretty bad. The only thing I’d be down for is allowing people to party up to find a server that will fit them all but not stick them together thereafter. Treat them just like they joined it solo.

I believe they are planning to make it.

Seriously… What is wrong in having party. If there is just 2 or 3 of you, and you want to play casually, you want to have a team with your friends and play a few matches. Just because someone has friends, it doesn’t mean that they have to be god-like and stomp every pub-game. From the other hand, trying the competitive as the group of 2 or 3 and getting randoms to the team while playing vs group of 5 is way more frustrating.

you can easily get a party with your friends just join on eachother and stack your side…my gaming community does it, we usually have up to 4 people in the same match and most of the time we are all on same team, until the enemies rage, then we switch it up until it fills and do it again

It’s a hard balance to strike. People will always want to play with their friends; but on the other had no one wants to play pub vs. organised team. The only way I see to make it fair it specific “Party” servers, as was mentioned earlier in the thread. My question then would be, will there be enough demand for casual party servers to get matches quickly and consistently?

I play with a pretty big community of people that revolves around a couple of streams. Many of us end up on the same server but we don’t usually try to play with each other so that the game stays balanced. It’s still fun playing with your friends even if you have to play against them from time to time. And it’s much better than being pub stomped because soon as you let a bunch of people easily play together on the same team that will happen. Right now you can all play together but it’s not so easy as to turn it into a stomp.

It’s great an all for casual players, but it allows for people to stack heavily, which in turn absolutely destroys the enemy team.
