Is there a fix for entering a game late?

Tonight I entered an objective match, Dome map, where there were two attackers, and just poor little old me to defend. Since I had just arrived, they were already planting the final bomb at the AA site, and I had however time it takes for the bomb to go off to get to the site, kill two people and defuse the bomb. Needless to say I failed. But still I only got 25 points for my airstrike that I tried to take out the two attackers with. I should have never been dropped into the match, since it was basically over.

Also, can there not be some sort of way to call off a match until there are players on the opposing side? I mean the attacking team managed to do the mission with no opponents until I showed up…

yeah, its a bit of a problem, i got into a match once with another guy, and we were both on the same team. and on defend duty in chapel.

i sat in enemy spawn for a while and followed the first enemy to spawn in out of the spawn until his invul is over and shotgunned his face.

soon, more people did join the match, but it was pretty one-sided. they accused us of camping but truth was the one thing they could do was keep the immediate area around their spawn clear of us, so really it was them not being able to break out of their safe zone. or my nades raining down on them.

oh, and in the next round(it was stopwatch), we won literally 5 seconds in i think because we repaired the EV to a higher % than the enemy team. werent we supposed to repair it completely before?
