I’m happy with toggle, but more is better with controls
Is there a cover system?
I wonder if _cvars will be scriptable, or is that an inherent engine limitation? (I know D3, Q4 and ET:QW couldn’t do it). That way you can make Push To actions into toggles if the option isn’t available, as well as some other scripts. Of course if it’s just a 1 - 0 cvar, then the actual toggle command could work as well I suppose.
It’s not engine limited, just a development choice
And was taken in an attempt to prevent guaranteed repeatable sequenced movement, which would suck tbh
However whilst it may well solve the issue in question in a round-about way
It wouldn’t be the ideal approach imo
There is a much easier way, which is to provide two different crouch actions, toggle and push-to
It was in there before
But this is the kind of thing that “might” get shelved when developing for consoles
I’m merely confirming that it still exists for Brink
As somebody who was rather intimately involved with the cover system for KZ2, I felt it just didn’t fit with the far more mobile nature of Brink. Which incidentally, is the same reason it’s in the SP of KZ2 and not the MP.
Caemgen, the lean system does let you do a form of ‘Stop and Pop’, if that’s the kind of thing you’re into.
